Cadillac/GMC Marketing Team Leader

Job Description

The Role –

  • Take full responsibility for Cadillac/GMC brand and product strategy in the market, leading the end-to-end marketing of Cadillac/GMC carlines to drive brand desirability, profitable growth, and sustainable business performance.

  • Lead and develop the Cadillac/GMC marketing team, while aligning closely with global/regional Cadillac/GMC organizations, local sales, communications, and dealer network.

What You’ll Do -

1. Brand & Product Strategy

  • Develop and lead Cadillac/GMC brand strategy and positioning in the local market, aligned with global brand direction.

  • Build mid- to long-term product and grade strategies for each Cadillac/GMC carline (incl. EVs), reflecting customer needs, competitive landscape, and financial targets.

  • Identify product strengths and opportunities through continuous analysis of market trends, competitors, pricing, and customer feedback.

  • Lead lifecycle management (launch, sustain, enhancement, phase-out) including pricing strategy, content/package strategy, and volume/mix planning.

2. Launch & Campaign Leadership

  • Own the end-to-end launch process for new and refreshed Cadillac/GMC products:

    • Insight & strategy development

    • Go-to-market planning

    • Campaign briefing & handle readiness

    • Launch execution and post-launch review with cross functional teams

  • Plan and develop integrated marketing strategies for launch and sustain vehicles, including ATL, digital/social, CRM, experiential, and PR.

  • Lead brand storytelling and creative direction (e.g., design exhibitions, inspiration nights, experiential events) to reinforce Brands’ design, innovation, and luxury credentials.

3. Customer Journey, CRM & Dealer Support

  • Design and optimize the end-to-end customer journey (awareness – consideration – test drive – purchase – ownership – advocacy) for Cadillac/GMC customers.

  • Support dealer network with retail marketing tools and guidelines (launch toolkits, showroom experience concepts, POS materials, local digital campaigns).

  • Ensure dealers are launch-ready (product training support from marketing side, launch guides, key talking points, campaign alignment).

4. Performance Management

  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for all major initiatives (lead generation, traffic, engagement, ROI, brand health, etc.).

  • Regularly report key milestones and performance updates for owned products and campaigns to local leadership and regional/global stakeholders.

  • Identify optimization opportunities based on data and insights, and continuously improve marketing effectiveness.

5. Stakeholder & Team Leadership

  • Lead, coach, and develop the Cadillac/GMC marketing team, ensuring clear role definition, prioritization, and performance management.

  • Act as the central point of contact for Cadillac/GMC marketing, collaborating closely with:

    • Global/Regional Cadillac/GMC marketing & product teams

    • Local sales, network, finance, communications, and PR

    • External agencies and strategic partners

  • Foster a collaborative, problem-solving culture with strong communication, accountability, and ownership.

Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)​​ –

  • Automotive industry experience preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field

  • 10+ years experience in brand & product marketing experience

  • Demonstrated team leadership experience – coaching, prioritization, feedback, and capability-building.

  • Excellent writing, speaking, and active listening skills in Korean, with strong business communication ability in English

  • Ability to analyze market trends, competitors, customer insights, and financial performance (pricing, volume/mix, ROI, etc.) and translate them into actionable strategies.

  • Experience working with global HQ, regional teams, and local stakeholders to localize global strategies and assets.

  • Demonstrated team leadership experience – coaching, prioritization, feedback, and capability-building.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence senior management and cross-functional partners.

  • Strong interpersonal skills, accountability, and ownership mindset.
