About the Role:
We are seeking a reliable and physically fit Cable Hauler to join our team. This role involves assisting with the installation of telecommunications infrastructure, primarily hauling and positioning fibre optic for NBN and Telstra projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Hauling and feeding telecommunications cables through pits, pipes, and conduits
Assisting cable jointers and technicians with installation tasks
Setting up and packing down work sites
Handling equipment such as hauling ropes, winches, and duct rods
Maintaining a clean and safe work environment
Following all safety procedures and site instructions
Assisting with basic civil tasks where required
Requirements:
White Card (Construction Induction) – essential
Valid driver’s licence (MR/HR highly regarded)
Previous experience in telecommunications or civil construction (preferred but not essential)
Physically fit and able to perform manual labour in outdoor conditions
Ability to work as part of a team and follow instructions
Strong awareness of workplace health and safety
Desirable (but not essential):
NBN or telecommunications experience
First Aid/CPR certification
Traffic Control tickets
Confined Space and Working at Heights tickets
NBN Enablon registered
