Join us in the Corporate Advisory & Banking Analyst Program

Brown Brothers Harriman is currently recruiting for our Corporate Advisory & Banking (CAB) Analyst Program.  This is a 20-month program during which the analyst pool supports CAB professionals in providing corporate finance advice and capital to substantial, privately held businesses. With a focus on building long-term relationships, CAB approaches each situation as an objective advisor without bias for a particular outcome. CAB is comprised of the Corporate Advisory Group (CAG), Corporate Lending, and Commodities & Logistics Lending (C&L) groups. Analysts assume a hands-on role in a team environment and get broad exposure to internal teams and executives, as well as to external parties such as clients, senior business executives and intermediaries.

  • CAG advises owner-operators and family-owned businesses on mergers and acquisitions, financing transactions, and other strategic or corporate finance opportunities.
  • Corporate Lending provides value-added capital to privately held companies based in the U.S. with excellent credit profiles; primary credit products include commercial loans and tax-exempt financing/industrial revenue bonds.
  • C&L provides capital and advice to leading privately held businesses and their owners in the commodities and logistics industries, particularly in the agriculture, metal, and energy markets.

Areas of Responsibility:

  • Perform financial analysis, including building financial models, and valuation analysis (comparable companies, precedent transactions, discounted cash flow, and leveraged buyout analysis).
  • Prepare due diligence materials through conducting company and industry research.
  • Develop client presentations assessing a client’s business, growth prospects, industry insights, valuation perspectives, and strategic alternatives.
  • Provide written credit analysis to underwrite new and existing credits and assist in structuring new and existing credit facilities.
  • Prepare presentations for periodic meetings with the Corporate Credit Committee, comprised of senior BBH executives, and Partners of the Firm.
  • Interface with business owners, company executives, and intermediaries.

Desired Skills:

  • A BA degree or equivalent, with a competitive GPA; ideal candidates will come from undergraduate classes of 2025-26.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and written/oral communication skills.
  • A curious mindset and exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to articulate complex ideas simply and summarize them effectively.
  • Previous, demonstrated work experience in analytically demanding fields (e.g., investment banking, commercial lending, management consulting, FP&A, or similar).
  • Basic understanding of corporate finance, accounting, finance/economics, and related subjects (via college courses and/or previous internship experience in these subjects).
  • Strong understanding of Excel, PowerPoint, Word.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative team environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
