The role we are offering you:

 

By joining our team, you will have the opportunity as a mechanical or electromechanical engineering technician to join an engineering support laboratory team.  You will specialize in the design of innovative solutions and ensure that delivery activities run smoothly.  The successful candidate will be called to work jointly with the engineering departments.  Are you prepared to:

 

  • Prepare test equipment for all engineering departments

  • Participate in the development of innovative tools to meet the challenges faced by engineering departments.

  • Participate in the assembly or manufacture of finished prototyping products using the equipment (3D scanners, 3D printers and multiple tools) provided in the laboratory.

  • Carry out all tasks relating to the proper running of the lab (inventory, tidying up, etc.)

Our ideal candidate has:

  • Good troubleshooting skills

  • Good knowledge of electromechanics

  • Knowledge of CAD software (SolidWorks, Fusion 360, Inventor or Creo)

  • Ability to work independently in a close-knit team

  • A proactive, flexible and meticulous personality with an innovative spirit

  • Knowledge of 3D printing (will be considered an asset)

Preferred Education

 

  • In the process of obtaining a college or university diploma in mechanical engineering.

 

Location of the internship is CAE Montreal.

 

The internship will take place in person.

 

*All applicants must be legally entitled to work in Canada and must meet the requirements of the Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP). All hires will be required to complete, sign and return the Controlled Goods Program form within a week of its transmittal. They must also provide a copy of their passport or birth certificate. All students with a work permit must provide a copy of it and a police clearance certificate from the country or countries where they have resided in the past five years.

 

*Please take note that if you are on a student, work or international student permit, the delays for the security background check take minimum 16 weeks.
