We are looking for a Raw Material Buyer to join our Purchasing team. Based in Mexico City-México, the candidate will be responsible for quoting and developing suppliers always looking for the best conditions of purchase, credit terms for the company based on cost reduction strategies. As well as, the raw materials and spare parts together with their logistics depending on the agreed Incoterm, ensuring compliance in foreign, tax, customs and legal trade.  

 

Job responsibilities 

  • Manage the import of raw materials and spare parts, coordinating the procedures with the supplier, customs agent and the Company's Foreign Trade Analyst, to comply with the internal regulations and the current legal framework on foreign trade. 

 

  • Determine strategies to reduce raw material inventories in Plant, analyzing the needs of higher cost and consumption raw materials, negotiating with suppliers and implementing the necessary actions, in order to reduce inventory costs and meet one of the Strategic Objectives of the Corporation. 

 

  • You will be in charge to develop new suppliers of raw materials and spare parts, contacting domestic and foreign companies and analyzing the quotes and conditions offered, to seek the reduction of acquisition costs and / or quality. 

 

  • You will responsible for reviewing inventory levels through reports. 

 

  • Generate improvement projects in inventory reduction. 

 

  • Maintain external contact with trade associations (suppliers) to make purchases and warehouses to verify that the raw material has been received. 

 

  • Contributing with ideas and participation in savings projects for the company. 

 

Who are we looking for? 

  • Bachelor's degree: Business Administration, Foreign Trade, International Business or Related. 

  • Experience: Minimum 2 years in the area. 

  • Language: Advanced English (Required) 

  • Knowledge of Law on Foreign Trade, Customs Law, Customs Procedures and Tax Laws (Tax Code, ISR, VAT, Duties, etc.) 

  • Office Management and Mfg-Pro System 

  • Advanced Excel (Required) 

  • Negociation Skills
