Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated Buyer to help build and scale the product assortment across our growing e-commerce businesses. This role is responsible for identifying, sourcing, and managing product categories that drive sales, margin, and customer engagement.
The Buyer will own the end-to-end merchandising lifecycle for assigned categories, including assortment planning, vendor management, pricing strategy, and promotion planning. This role works cross-functionally with other teams to ensure the right products are presented to customers at the right time with the right pricing and promotional strategy.

Develop and execute category strategies that drive sales growth, margin improvement, and product mix targets.
Select and buy products that support overall business goals and category performance objectives.
Build and manage seasonal and ongoing assortment plans aligned with brand and merchandising strategies.
Develop key item strategies that drive revenue while maintaining margin targets.
Identify new product opportunities and emerging categories through market research and competitive analysis.
Shop and analyze the competitive landscape to understand pricing strategies, product trends, and customer demand.
Manage product margins and initial markup strategies to achieve financial targets.
Monitor category performance and analyze sales, margin, and inventory trends to identify opportunities for improvement.
Review business performance regularly and develop recommendations to optimize assortment, pricing, and promotions.
Plan and execute pricing and promotional strategies in coordination with vendor promotional calendars while maintaining MAP compliance.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendor partners.
Negotiate product costs, pricing, and vendor support to maximize profitability.
Troubleshoot vendor issues including quality, delivery, or operational challenges.
Facilitate regular forecasting discussions with vendors to align production and inventory planning with projected demand
Collaborate with marketing and e-commerce teams to support product positioning, homepage merchandising, and promotional campaigns.
Provide product recommendations for marketing campaigns, site features, and email promotions.
Participate in regular planning meetings to align merchandising strategies with business goals.
Drive product discovery by exploring new categories, vendors, and product concepts.
Bring creative and entrepreneurial thinking to identify new opportunities for assortment expansion and customer engagement.
Contribute to building scalable merchandising processes and documentation as the team grows.
5 to 8 years of experience as a buyer, merchandiser, or related position in a retail / e-commerce environment. Preferable in hardlines.
Bachelor’s degree in business, retail management, or related field preferred.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data to drive decisions.
Experience managing vendor relationships and negotiating product costs and terms.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Experience working cross-functionally with internal and external teams.
A proactive self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
Strong curiosity and business acumen with the ability to identify opportunities for growth.
A collaborative team player who builds strong relationships across teams and with vendor partners.
A strategic thinker who is also highly execution oriented.
Comfortable using modern tools and technology, including AI tools, to improve productivity and decision making.
