About the Role:

Dr. Squatch is looking for a Buyer to join our Supply Chain organization. This role is responsible for executing purchase orders across raw materials, packaging, retail programs, and contract manufacturing, maintaining accurate and up-to-date order information in Anvyl/Sage, NetSuite, and Google Sheets, and collaborating with suppliers to ensure all orders are fulfilled on time and in full.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential for building and maintaining effective supplier relationships. High attention to detail and comfort working in an ERP or similarly complex platform are necessary for success in this position.

This role will report to the Senior Sourcing Manager.

This is a full-time, hybrid role with company benefits based in Marina del Rey, CA.

The anticipated base compensation range for this role will be $70,000 to $85,000. Compensation will be commensurate with the candidate's experience and local market rates.

What You'll Do:

  • Create and manage purchase orders for raw materials, packaging components, retail program materials, and contract manufacturing services in Anvyl / Sage and NetSuite based on requirements determined by supply planning.
  • Send purchase orders to suppliers, confirm receipt and acceptance of terms, and ensure all open orders are updated with accurate quantities, pricing, and delivery dates.
  • Partner with supply planning and production teams to execute PO changes and monitor inventory levels to proactively adjust purchasing as needed.
  • Work closely with raw material suppliers, packaging vendors, retail program partners, and contract manufacturers to ensure timely delivery, resolve issues, and provide updates to internal stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with the sourcing team to maintain accurate pricing, ensure supplier RFPs and samples are current, and support alternate sourcing options when needed.
  • Develop and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with key suppliers to ensure reliable supply and proactive communication.
  • Assist in negotiating pricing, payment terms, and lead times to support cost-effective and timely procurement.
  • Partner with supply planning, sourcing, production, quality, retail, and operations teams to align on material requirements, production schedules, and delivery priorities.
  • Support sourcing initiatives by reaching out to new suppliers, gathering quotations, ordering samples, and maintaining supplier data for benchmarking and evaluation.
  • Track, analyze, and report on key procurement metrics such as lead time performance, cost savings, and supplier reliability.
  • Continuously identify opportunities to streamline procurement processes and improve cross-functional communication.

About You:

  • 3+ years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain.
  • Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred).
  • Experience executing purchase orders and working directly with suppliers.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Interest in health and wellness, personal care, and/or eCommerce industries.
  • Experience in the consumer products industry strongly preferred.
  • Someone who gets things done without perfect resources, works with urgency, and solves problems creatively.
  • Someone who takes ownership, maintains high standards, and is invested in outcomes.
