Category Operational Buyer
- Responsible for new Program RFQ and BOM Costing
- Generate cost reduction ideas for new program through Localization, VAVE, Alternate sourcing by working with Category buyer
- Drive material cost improvements to win the new business on overall BOM
- Manage Raw material escalations related to Proto Procurement before SOP
- Lead new program sourcing & PPAP on time. Drive this process and work with Category buyer and SQE
- Ensure PRG material cost related targets are met
- Ensure the SCM new program management till SOP
- Escalation at Right time to minimize Risk related to launch issues because of material issues.
- Participate in new business win meetings and customer specific cross functional cost improvement meetings.
Skills/ Qualification Requirement
- BTech ( Mechanical / Production / Electrical) preferably with program management certification
- 8 - 10 year of experience in buying out of which minimum 5 years of experience in BOM Costing and generating VAVE ideas
- Expert level competence in Excel working
- Overall Good knowledge of harness components, supplier base locally and globally
- Must have worked in ERP Systems preferably in SAP
- Good Interpersonal skills and result orientation
- Ability to work in ambiguity and with less information
- Must be comfortable in cross functional team working.
