About the Role

The Project Management & Business Transformation role, within the Process Engineering department, is a critical position focused on driving large-scale, cross-functional strategic initiatives to optimize core business processes, enhance efficiency, and ensure robust control across the organization. This role requires a blend of expert project management, deep business acumen, and a process-oriented mindset to successfully execute transformational changes within a fast-paced fintech environment. 

Key Responsibilities & DeliverablesStrategic Project & Program Management

Ability to identify areas of focus/ opportunities to maximize business growth & enhance profitability
Customer backward approach / tech automation mindset approach
Resource Alignment: Manage and align resources across multiple, concurrent projects, including securing commitment from business, technology, finance, and operations stakeholders.
Risk & Change Management: Proactively identify project risks, dependencies, and bottlenecks. Implement effective change management strategies to ensure smooth adoption of new processes and systems by end-users.

Business Process Transformation & Improvement
Current State Analysis: Conduct detailed assessments of current state business processes to identify pain points, bottlenecks, control gaps, and opportunities for efficiency gains (utilizing Lean, Six Sigma, or other relevant methodologies).
Future State Design: Collaborate with business owners to design the optimized, future state processes, ensuring compliance, enhanced customer/merchant experience, and operational efficiency.
Process Implementation: Drive the implementation of designed processes, working closely with the Technology teams for automation and the Training teams for organizational readiness.

Cross-Functional Leadership & Communication
Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary liaison between executive leadership, Process Owners, Technology, and Finance teams. Translate business transformation goals into detailed project plans and operational requirements.
Executive Reporting: Prepare and present concise, data-driven reports and roadmaps to senior management, clearly communicating project status, critical decisions needed, and the projected impact of transformation efforts.
Driving Consensus: Be a persuasive and assertive leader who can navigate organizational politics, drive consensus, and ensure all functions are aligned and committed to the final transformed process.

Superpowers/Skills & Qualifications

Technical & Professional Requirements
Experience: 10+ years of overall professional experience, with a minimum of 5 years focused on leading large-scale, complex business or process transformation projects, preferably in the Fintech, Telecom, or Banking sectors.
Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
Certifications (Preferred): PMP/Prince2, Certified Scrum Master (CSM), and/or Process Improvement (Lean/Six Sigma Black Belt).Fintech Domain Knowledge: 
Strong understanding of core fintech/payments processes, including Transaction Lifecycle, Reconciliation, Revenue Assurance, Compliance (KYC/AML), and Financial Reporting.
Tool Proficiency: Expertise in Project Management tools (e.g., Jira, MS Project, Asana) and Process Mapping tools (e.g., Visio, Lucidchart).Core Competencies (Soft Skills)
Strategic Ownership: Demonstrated ability to take full ownership of complex, multi-year initiatives, anticipating challenges and driving the process to the end conclusion, not just managing tasks.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Proven track record of making cross-functional collaboration work effectively by bridging the gap between technical, operational, and financial teams.
Assertiveness & Influence: Highly assertive communication skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and hold teams accountable for commitments and timelines.
