Business Transactions and Services Lead Coordinator

Business and Finance | Procurement Shared Service Center

The Business Transactions and Services Lead Coordinator will function as a leader for complex fiscal and compliance requests within the Procurement Shared Services Center. Demonstrates a high degree of general knowledge in procurement with recognized expertise in specific areas. Frequently requires independent problem-solving and analysis of unique issues without precedent and/or structure. Proactively stays abreast of changes to university policies and regulations and shares information with staff. Contributes to workflow, business process, and policy changes. Updates business processes by examining current practices and offering suggestions for process improvement. Demonstrates strong communication skills in disseminating complex regulations and compliance issues to the campus community. Serves as content expert and liaison for faculty, staff, suppliers, and guests of the university on the most complex expense inquiries. Supervises one or more Business Transactions and Services Assistant(s).

Required Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED. At least four (4) years of experience working in a business administration role, financial or procurement environment. At least two (2) years of customer service and problem-solving experience. At least two (2) years of demonstrated experience in reviewing business transactions in a financial management system (preferably Workday). Excellent verbal and written communication. Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills. Ability to follow through and high attention to detail. Considerable experience in providing exceptional service to stakeholders. Proficient in multi-tasking, problem-solving, and critical thinking. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office.

Desired Qualifications:

Associate’s degree in business administration or equivalent combination or education and experience. Six (6) years of demonstrated experience in reviewing business transactions in a financial management system (preferably Workday). Knowledge of Ohio State University policy and procedures. Demonstrated experience in supervising staff. Ability to see the bigger picture, examine practices, and implement improvements. Ability to be flexible and adaptable in a high volume and deadline driven environment. Works well within a team environment. Enjoy working in a culture that promotes work/life balance, peer collaboration, autonomy, and supportive leadership. Ability to guide less experienced staff in problem solving complex issues. Experience with public speaking and training. Manage multiple, shifting priorities in a deadline-driven environment.

The Target Hiring Range for this position is $22.93 to $29.95 per hour.
