Duties & Responsibilities
This role partners with business unit stakeholders and technical staff to identify business systems solutions for changes to business processes, policies, and information systems. Considered the top business analyst expert within a major application supporting multiple business units, performing tasks of the most complex nature required to:
Design and develop dashboards, self-service tools, reports, data models, and scalable ad-hoc reporting.
Create best practices, document, and maintain proven procedures. Maintain accurate system and System Development Lifecycle documentation.
Collaborate with business leaders to understand business challenges that will benefit from analytics support.
Proactively analyze systems and output through self-initiated curiosity with an eye for operational improvement.
Partner with technical services teams to design technical solution to meet the business requirements.
Drive user adoption by developing best practices for systems.
Prepare and present trainings and provide consultative support to end users.
Construct test cases, develop test scripts and facilitate appropriate testing (unit, integration, system, QA, UAT)
Act as system liaison between UMB users of business application systems and the technical services group responsible for support.

Knowledge & Skills
MINIMUM:
Must have a passion for learning new technology and developing innovative solutions.
Knowledgeable of extract, transform, load (ETL) data management processes.
Knowledgeable of Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, & Access)
Demonstrates proficiency for problem solving, analytics, and reporting.
Demonstrates ability to manage time and meet deadlines.
Demonstrates strong written communication skills.
Demonstrates ability to partner with multiple lines of business to achieve common goal.
Demonstrates good analytical, problem solving and multi-tasking skills
Demonstrates ability to express technical concepts in business terms.
Demonstrates ability to work independently within a team
Demonstrates understanding of purpose and operations of supported lines of business.
PREFERRED:
Experience with Yardi applications.
Experience with Microsoft Power BI.
Experience with Microsoft SQL or Snowflake databases.
Ability to build data models incorporating multiple datasets.
Experience presenting data insights to key stakeholders.
Working knowledge of machine learning concepts.
Demonstrates ability to identify solutions where precedents and procedures may not exist.
Demonstrates effective networking skills.
Demonstrates working knowledge of effective testing techniques and procedures.
Requirements
MINIMUM:
Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Data Science or equivalent field of study.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting plus 2 years data analytics experience.
PREFERRED:
Post-Graduate work in statistical analysis or equivalent
Compensation Range:
$44,790.00 - $86,510.00The posted compensation range on this listing represents UMB’s standard for this role, but the actual compensation may vary by geographic location, experience level, and other job-related factors.
