What You'll Do:

  • Business Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with business stakeholders, including product managers, developers, and subject matter experts, to gather and define business requirements and translate them into functional specifications.
  • Agile Delivery Support: Work as part of an Agile delivery team, participating in Scrum ceremonies (e.g. sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, retrospectives) and ensuring that all requirements outlined on product briefs and technical solutions are clearly documented and prioritised in the product backlog.
  • System Analysis & Documentation: Provide detailed system analysis, including process flow diagrams, data models, and system design documents that ensure technical teams fully understand business needs.
  • User Story Definition: Write clear and concise user stories and acceptance criteria in collaboration with the product manager and other team members.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Act as a liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders to ensure alignment on requirements, timelines, and expectations.
  • Issue Resolution Support: Provide support in investigating and resolving issues that arise during development, testing, or production stages, ensuring timely and effective solutions are implemented.
  • Testing & Validation: Support the QA team by validating system changes ensuring they meet the specified business requirements.
  • Continuous Improvement: Work with the team to identify process improvements and optimise ways of working within Agile and product-centric environments.
  • Payments Domain Expertise: Leverage your knowledge of the card payments industry and payment gateway solutions to provide valuable insights and ensure solutions are compliant with industry standards, security regulations, and best practices.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in a business or technology field from a college or university, or comparable industry experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience as a Business Systems Analyst, ideally in the payments or financial technology space.
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and experience working in Scrum teams.
  • Familiarity with payment gateway technologies and card payments processing.
  • Proficiency in Jira and Confluence for managing Agile workflows and documentation.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
