The Opportunity:
CACI is seeking a Business Systems Analyst to support Shipyard personnel tasked to expedite execution of maintenance availabilities and accelerate on-time delivery of submarines.
As the Business Systems Analyst, you will:
Leverage your data analytics and dashboard development experience and proven expertise while partnering with Shipyard personnel at all levels of the organization to improve processes, workflow, communications, collaboration, reporting, and supply chains that will lead to increases in Submarine Operational Availability.
Provide subject matter expertise in shipbuilding or ship repair activities, including best practices and lessons learned, that can be applied to reap improvements in Shipyard naval maintenance and modernization activities.
Provide consultation, tools, and methods to aid decision making, project management, and action planning.
**The majority of work is on the customer site to ensure customer needs are met.**
Responsibilities:
Work collaboratively within a local CACI team and across contractor and customer teams to improve naval maintenance and modernization activities.
Extract data from databases to build metrics, dashboards, and slide deck reports.
Establish and track metrics to determine effectiveness and ensure accountability of stated goals. Perform data collection and analysis.
Design, develop, and update operational and performance metrics and visualization dashboards that measure the status of objectives and their impact on the performance of stated Shipyard measures. Create and deliver slide deck reports and presentations that meet customer needs.
Apply subject matter expertise to determine the highest value-added goals and develop an effective course of action to achieve them.
Facilitate supported teams in taking specific, measurable actions at the agreed upon standard of quality and consistency to drive goal achievement.
Plan, facilitate, lead, and support customer meetings, presentations, briefings, strategic planning sessions, working groups, off-site events, etc. in support of contract activities. This includes pre- and post-administrative support/coordination.
Provide information for various Shipyard management systems.
Support and coordinate with customers in preparation of documentation and deliverables.
Assist Shipyard Trade Shops, Support Codes, and Project Teams in focusing on process improvements that will add the most value to their work.
Establish standards, track highest-performing teams’ behaviors, and share them with across the Naval Maintenance Community.
Develop, maintain, and execute communication strategies that include all customer stakeholders.
Promote accountability through fostering a collective desire to hold each other accountable, celebrate victories, correct problems, and unify the team.
Support the execution of contract requirements, which may include submission of supporting data and metrics and timely completion of written reports to stakeholders, customers, and CACI leadership.
Other duties may be assigned in support of contract taskings and mission success.
Qualifications:
Required:
Must be a United States Citizen. Must have the ability to obtain a DOD Interim Secret security clearance prior to start and subsequent final DOD Secret security clearance.
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field. In lieu of the degree requirement, candidates with minimum 10 years of directly applicable work experience may be considered for this position.
Minimum 5 years of experience working in public or private industry Shipyards in the area of shipbuilding, modernization, or ship repair OR in a large commercial repair machine shop OR in a production shop or engineering department.
Extensive experience developing metrics from data mining and developing visualization dashboards using Excel or Power BI tools. High level of proficiency in extracting data from databases to build metrics, dashboards, and slide deck reports.
Expertise in Shipyard best practices with the ability to leverage that expertise and experience to identify best-in-class practices across the shipbuilding and ship repair community.
Demonstrated project management and research skills.
Experience facilitating meetings attended by senior leadership.
Self-starter who is comfortable working in ambiguous situations and in a demanding industrial environment.
Proven leadership ability and demonstrated focus on making the workplace and operating environment higher performing.
Ability to work both independently and within a team to resolve problems.
Strong customer service orientation and written/verbal communication skills with the ability to respectfully engage internal and external customers at all levels in a manner that achieves successful outcomes.
Outstanding organizational skills to efficiently manage competing priorities, multiple concurrent taskings, and firm deadlines.
Proficiency with Microsoft 365.
Desired:
Active DOD Secret security clearance.
Experience working with unions and leading teams of Shipyard skilled workers (e.g., First-Line Supervisor, Work Group Leader, Foreman, Zone Manager).
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
Certification in Agile, Lean, Six Sigma, Shingo, or Theory of Constraints.
Experience using cloud-based knowledge management systems (SharePoint, iNFUSION Suite, Jira, etc.).
Knowledge of Naval Shipyard data systems.
Work experience with the Naval Maintenance Community, United States Navy, or the Department of Defense. Experience working with Carrier Planning Activity, SUBMEPP, SHAPEC, PMS312, PMS 392, etc. is preferred.

The proposed salary range for this position is:
$71,800 - $150,800
