Manulife is seeking a Business System Analyst (12 Months) in the Asia Systems and Platform Services Team to support HK Retirement systems. The successful applicant will be involved with systems and application support of solutions that conform to Manulife standards. The candidate will need to have a breadth and depth of experience that will allow her/him to devise and support solutions that integrate appropriately within the organization and its application frameworks.
Position Responsibilities:
• Own and support a wide variety of systems and applications from a Level 1/2 perspective
• Work with business clients to debug or trouble shoot applications
Translates user requirements into software requirements
• Investigate database, code, Batch scripts problem from a support perspective to debug issues or perform analysis for enhancements
• Incident ownership and management with on-call requirements on a roster basis
• Investigate application failures and manage to resolution
• Remain current on standards, technologies, approaches and methodologies
• Consistently apply the concept of continuous improvement
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years working experience systems and application Level 1 / 2 (support)
• Experience with relational database structures and methodologies
• Collaborate attitude and demonstrate empathy and generosity towards business stakeholders, product owners, software developers, and operations support to uncover pain points
• Proven ability to multitask both independently and within a team.
• Good command of English and Chinese, both spoken and written
• Ability to understand business process requirements and through the use of technology, conceptualize creative solutions through to implementation
• Able to work under pressure and meet tight schedules
• Experience in financial industry
• Awareness of ITIL practices in aligning IT services with the needs of business.
• Action oriented, creative and proactive thinker
• Successful candidate will have strong knowledge and at least 2 years of experience of the following technologies:
• Linux, Unix, Windows
• Cloud Platform (Azure, AKS)
• Java, Python, C#, Reactjs, nodejs, nestjs
• MS SQL / Mongo Database
• Proficiency with Restful API, Git, GIT Action, Azure APIM
