Job Description:
SummaryResponsible for one or more applications/modules and provides technical leadership in improving, enhancing, developing and supporting/maintaining said applications/modules within Ryder's IT Architecture.
Provides guidance to the IT support teams as well as providing support to projects and teams requiring the configuration and modification to the core applications/modules and integration of technology solutions. Participate in architecture design, performance monitoring, module evaluation, and buy versus build decisions. Responsible for end-to-end administration tasks that span the platform and includes various activities such as analysis and design, troubleshooting, development and testing, implementation of monitoring solutions, documentation, and support of managed packaged upgrades, communicating maintenance windows and outages. Supervise and communicate development, project status, dependencies, and risks and mitigation strategies to the project team, business stakeholders and leadership. Provides technical expertise to the business.
Critical functions include operational and technical roadmaps, defining metrics and reporting.
Participates and contributes to process improvement initiatives by proposing and/or undertaking system configuration changes that support the overall improvement initiative. Helps end users understand system processes and usage rules, as well as, enforcing those processes and rules. Proficient in the understanding of the systems' back-end processes and underlying data, such that he/she can provide insight during improvement initiatives, as well as effective troubleshooting when problems arise.
Essential Functions- Configures the system to support Business and IT needs, user requests, process changes, and improvement initiatives. Create a close working relationship with Business partners to identify pain points and provide better services.
- Evaluate and recommend new solutions and maintains knowledge of emerging technologies within their technology discipline while perform in-depth analysis in current state setup, workflows and capabilities with the goal of enhancing the usage of the Platform.
- Execute weekly and monthly platform maintenance activities including weekly systems activity progressions, Close-outs, software upgrades and maintenance improvements to ensure the platform is running at top performance. Communicates system changes, process updates, maintenance windows, and outages to impacted end users.
- Supports large project initiatives in the role of the system’s Subject Matter Expert. Proposes solutions related to the supported system, as well as, identifies risks related to proposed system changes. Key participation in planning and requirements workshops, design reviews and other meetings where Product Owners and Subject Matter Experts may discuss the platform. Work closely with Solution Architects and Team leads to layout pros and cons of various solutions. Communicate status updates to stakeholders.
- Provide application design recommendations that align with long and short-term IT and business strategies and provide expertise for the integration of applications across the business.
- Manages end user requests (e.g. system access requests, reports, research requests, job scheduling, etc.) and provides data analysis and queries to support IT and other business initiatives.
Additional Responsibilities- May be asked to support one or multiple projects or project functions, as bandwidth allows.
- Research and track emerging technology to develop business solutions and applications.
- Mentors others on the technical, functional, and process knowledge and skills needed to achieve results at the optimum level of performance.

- Ability to worked on Agile Scrum or Kanban methodology.
- Provides guidance and enforces system processes and usage rules.
- Excellent presentation skills with the ability to communicate and persuade management at all levels.
- Develop and administer enterprise-wide onboarding training, recurring refresher training.
- Drive the adoption of the platform best practices and development standards for technical and project teams to follow.
- Complete IT Audits for User/License assessments.
- Engages in online, classroom, and/or self-training to continue developing system expertise.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications- Bachelor's degree required Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Informatics or Engineering, other majors to be considered on an individual basis
- Seven (7) years or more Experience working in an IT environment and having been exposed to various IT-related responsibilities and terminology required
- Five (5) years or more System administration of a PPM platform, such as Planview, ServiceNow, enteprise software package, such as an HR system, Financial System, ERP System, Project Management Systems, Incident Management System, etc. required
- Five (5) years or more Experience in process improvement – whether in a business or technical environment required
- SQL scripting or similar scripting capabilities (fundamental skills at minimum) intermediate preferred
- Strong background in IT Security, specifically IT Risk, Vulnerability Management and system best practices advanced required
- System analysis capabilities (including data analysis) and process improvement capabilities (business and/or technical) advanced required
- Ryder business knowledge / practices / processes beginner preferred
- Other System administrator certification(s) from commercially recognized product(s)

Compensation Information:
The compensation offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s relevant experience; education, including relevant degrees or certifications; work location; market data/ranges; internal equity; internal salary ranges; etc. The position may also be eligible to receive an annual bonus, commission, and/or long-term incentive plan based on the level and/or type. Compensation ranges for the position are below:
