The Business Support Manager (BSM) provides strategic, operational and high-impact support to the Area Managing Director (AMD). This role goes beyond administrative coordination - it acts as an extension of the AMD in driving priorities, strengthening governance, enabling execution and ensuring seamless alignment across the organization.
Business Support Manager serves as a trusted advisor and coordination anchor between the AMD, Area Leadership Team, regional stakeholders and external partners. By managing business rhythms, synthesizing information and enabling clarity and follow-through, the BSM allows the AMD to focus on strategic decision-making and delivering business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic & Executive Support
- Manage and optimize the AMD’s calendar to reflect strategic priorities, business reviews, customer engagements and operational rhythms
- Prepare, refine and manage high-quality presentations, business reports, briefing notes, talking points and executive correspondence
- Support the AMD in leadership routines (Area leadership meetings, governance forums, townhalls) by consolidating inputs, preparing pre-reads and ensuring follow-up actions are owned and completed
- Conduct research, synthesize data and develop background material to support strategic discussions and decision-making
- Coordinate domestic and international travel in partnership with the Admin Team, ensuring full itinerary preparation and briefs
Stakeholder Management & Communication
- Serve as the primary coordination and communication channel on behalf of the AMD with internal teams, regional colleagues, and external stakeholders
- Work closely with the leadership team to ensure alignment, follow-through on priorities, and smooth execution of the Area MD’s agenda
- Screen, prioritize, and handle communication flows (emails, requests, connects) ensuring clarity, alignment and timely closure
- Build strong relationships with senior leaders and functional focal points to support effective information flow and cross-functional collaboration
Leadership Rhythm, Meeting and Event Coordination
- Lead planning and execution of AMD-led meetings, leadership workshops, strategy sessions, customer engagements and regional visits
- Manage agendas, minutes, documentation, and action trackers, ensuring accountability and continuity across meetings
- Support office operations linked to the AMD’s function including documentation management, facilities coordination and vendor interactions where required
Business Governance & Operational Excellence
- Track deadlines, deliverables, and business commitments across the Area, providing reminders, follow-ups, and risk escalation where needed
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes, enhance meeting efficiency, and improve operational workflows for the MD’s office
- Enable strong governance by ensuring the right content, alignment and stakeholders are involved ahead of key discussions
Professional Judgment & Discretion
- Manage highly sensitive and confidential matters with impeccable professionalism and trustworthiness.
- Anticipate Operational and Admin needs and resolving matters proactively to ensure the Area MD’s priorities are met on time
- Provide guidance to junior administrative staff or support roles as necessary
Qualifications & Experience
- 5–7 years of professional experience with 3+ years in leadership-facing roles involving business coordination, project management and executive support
- Demonstrated ability to work in fast-paced environments
- Strong organizational, analytical and communication skills with the ability to synthesize information clearly
- High level of discretion, professionalism and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Proficiency in MS Office, presentation tools, document management, and digital workflows
- Strong interpersonal skills to interact effectively across leadership levels and with external stakeholders
- Ability to work independently, take initiative and manage tight deadlines with composure and confidence
