AAA Club Alliance is hiring a Business Strategy Manager – Insurance Systems to lead a team aligning technology investments with Insurance business strategy and delivering measurable value. This role manages the Insurance technology portfolio, partners with senior leaders to translate business priorities into roadmaps and investment decisions, and ensures strong governance, execution alignment, and value realization across transformation initiatives.
Work from home positions primary residence must reside within the footprint that AAA Club Alliance Inc. operates. Our club is in Washington DC and 13 states including: Connecticut, Delaware, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Maryland, New Jersey, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Dakota, Virginia, and West Virginia.

Primary Responsibilities:
Manage and develop a team of Business Technology Strategists, setting clear expectations, priorities, and performance metrics.
Build team capabilities in strategic thinking, analysis, and stakeholder engagement.
Ensure high-quality, consistent strategic outputs including analysis, roadmaps, and executive communications.
Lead talent development, performance management, and succession planning.
Partner with Insurance leadership to align technology strategy with business goals (growth, efficiency, risk management).
Translate Insurance strategy into multi-year technology roadmaps and capability plans.
Advise executives on tradeoffs across cost, risk, speed, and value.
Anticipate future needs and shape strategic options proactively.
Own the Insurance technology strategy portfolio, including roadmap development, prioritization, sequencing, and dependencies.
Lead technology investment planning, business case development, and governance.
Prioritize initiatives based on value, alignment, risk, and capacity.
Track outcomes, benefits realization, and KPI performance.
Assess current-state systems, processes, and architecture to identify modernization opportunities.
Partner with enterprise architecture, delivery, analytics, and operations to ensure execution alignment.
Provide oversight for major digital transformation initiatives.
Lead executive discussions, strategy sessions, and workshops.
Communicate complex technology topics in clear, business-friendly terms.
Act as liaison across business, IT, vendors, and partners; influence without direct authority.
Oversee vendor strategy, alignment, and performance.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Technology, or related field required; Master’s preferred (or equivalent experience).
7+ years of experience in technology strategy, digital transformation, or business-technology alignment.
Prior people leadership experience required.
Insurance or financial services experience strongly preferred, including Insurance technology background.
Experience in technical road mapping and enterprise technology planning required.
User experience (UX) or customer experience-focused mindset strongly preferred.
Experience influencing senior leaders and managing complex portfolios.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Strong understanding of business strategy, operating models, and technology strategy development.
Knowledge of enterprise technology domains (applications, data, analytics, cloud, integration, security).
Experience with technology investment governance and portfolio management.
Strong executive communication, facilitation, and systems thinking skills.
Financial and investment analysis skills; ability to operate under ambiguity.
Proven coaching and team development skills.
Strong influencing skills across organizational boundaries.
Ability to operate in a complex, fast-paced environment.
Ability to translate strategy into measurable outcomes while balancing long-term and near-term priorities.
