Role Overview

We are seeking a Business Solutions Analyst to partner closely with the Portfolio Finance team and help deliver software and process that support their business objectives. This role is well suited for a candidate who is analytical, detail-oriented, customer-focused, and comfortable working at the intersection of business and technology. The ideal candidate can translate business needs into clear requirements and successfully drive projects from concept through delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage projects related to investor reporting, and other applications supporting Portfolio Finance initiatives, including new fund launches.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document requirements; define project scope; and translate business needs into clear, actionable deliverables.
  • Produce high-quality documentation, including functional requirements, user stories, UI concepts, project plans, status updates, test scripts, and training materials.
  • Build strong working relationships with business users and proactively manage expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Coordinate and guide project team members, including developers and testers, across all phases of the system development lifecycle.
  • Plan and execute system testing for new or enhanced solutions to ensure requirements are met.
  • Ensure solutions are properly tested, approved, and deployed in accordance with established change control processes.
  • Provide ongoing support to business users, including assistance with monthly and quarterly client reporting.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Computer Science, Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • 3-5 years of experience in business analysis, project management, or a related role
  • Experience developing or supporting accounting-related or investor reporting systems.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word, PowerPoint, Visio); advanced Excel skills are required
  • Working knowledge of SQL and relational database concepts
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical teams and business stakeholders
  • Project management experience
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and perform well in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently while remaining a collaborative team member.
  • Solid understanding of Change Management process required for software development
  • Experience working with Azure DevOps, Altassian, Github or similar

Beneficial Qualifications

  • Experience using AI-enabled productivity tools (e.g., Copilot, ChatGPT) to improve efficiency
  • Background in commercial real estate, accounting, or financial software platforms
  • Experience with Power BI for reporting, data analysis, and dashboard development
  • Familiarity with Real Estate accounting solutions such as MRI, Yardi or RealPage
  • Exposure to Agile delivery methodologies, including writing requirements for sprint-based development
  • Knowledge of investor statement production and distribution processes.
  • Experience working with SS&C Investran, Allvue Systems, eFront, FundCount or similar

If based in New York, the base salary range for this position is USD $115,000 - $135,000. Actual base salary offered will be determined by several components including but not limited to the candidate's experience, job-related knowledge, and qualifications. Base salary does not include other forms of compensation or benefits offered in connection with the advertised role. Total compensation may vary based on role, location, and individual performance. For roles located outside of Los Angeles, please disregard the posted salary range as these roles will follow a separate compensation process based on the local market.
