Role Summary

This role provides project management services on a multi-year or major project, applying functional expertise to improve project results. It also contributes to centralized project governance through development of best practices, reporting consolidation, and tracking of cross-project dependencies.


Responsibilities

  • Manages a project or workstreams within a broader project or program. Develops, implements, and monitors project plans. Contributes expertise to major project deliverables, milestones, and required tasks.
  • Provides insight on best practices and common obstacles based on prior experiences. Ensures strategies are aligned with the overall department strategy.
  • Communicates project status and issues regularly to stakeholders, including leaders, team members, and senior managers.
  • Builds and maintains effective relationships. Proactively fosters communication between internal and external project stakeholders. Influences key decisions across stakeholder groups.
  • Proactively identifies, manages, and mitigates risks and any related project issues. Communicates solutions on key issues or projects to management and stakeholders to obtain their input and buy-in as appropriate.
  • Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
  • Contributes to the creation and rollout of standardized project management templates, tools, and methodologies across the organization.
  • Participates in mentoring or training activities to enhance project management capabilities within teams.
  • Tracks dependencies across multiple interrelated projects and supports resolution of cross-project impacts.
  • Assists in consolidating project status reports and financial updates for leadership review.


Qualifications and Skills

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, incident response, or security operations.
  • Bachelor’s degree (B.E./B.Tech) in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Skills include Incident Response, Network Security, Endpoint Security, Cloud Security, Data Loss Prevention (DLP), and platform expertise in Windows, Unix, and Network environments.
  • Demonstrated strengths in critical thinking, communication (verbal and written), problem-solving, collaboration, and time management.
  • Ability to work under pressure and respond quickly to security incidents, with strong analytical and organizational abilities.
