Business Process Manager

📍 Barcelona, Spain or Berlin, Germany | Office-first setup

About the team

The Business Architecture team sits at the heart of SumUp’s Global Operations, ensuring that our processes, systems and ways of working scale effectively as we grow.

We connect strategy with execution, designing and governing workflows that power consistent, high-quality customer experiences across markets.

As a Business Process Manager, you’ll play a key role in shaping how operations run end-to-end.

You’ll work across teams to bring structure to complexity, turning data, insights, and system understanding into scalable process solutions.

This is an opportunity to step into a high-impact role where you’ll not only improve processes, but also help define how process excellence and governance are built at scale.

What you’ll do

  • Own and lead end-to-end process improvement initiatives, from scoping to implementation and monitoring
  • Map and optimise business processes using BPMN, identifying inefficiencies and evaluating changes
  • Analyse multi-source data to uncover root causes and translate insights into actionable recommendations
  • Define business requirements and ensure alignment between processes, systems, and operational goals
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, contributing to governance frameworks and driving continuous improvement and adoption

You’ll be great for this role if

  • Strong experience in process mapping and optimisation (BPMN), including facilitating workshops and aligning stakeholders
  • Comfortable working with data, using tools like Excel and Tableau to generate insights
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional process improvement projects end-to-end, managing timelines and stakeholders independently
  • Solid understanding of system interactions, with the ability to translate business needs into structured requirements
  • Structured, solution-oriented mindset with strong communication skills and the ability to navigate complexity and ambiguity

Nice to have:

  • Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM tools

  • Familiarity with process mining, automation tools, or service design methodologies

  • Exposure to governance frameworks, compliance, or operational risk

  • Experience working in international or multi-market environments
