Business Overview

The Technology Management Division (TMD) provides Corporate IT, and Cyber Security & Privacy Governance to Rakuten Group companies and essential business management for technology organizations, thereby enabling innovation and strengthening the technology foundation. Within TMD, the Technology Management Services Supervisory Department (TMSSD) plays a vital role in CIO Governance, IT financial management, IT procurement, Quality Management System (QMS), technology-related public relations, and human resources strategy. By promoting efficiency, quality, risk management, and organizational strength, we ensure that Tech Divisions remain agile and at the forefront of technological advancement.

 

Department Overview

The IT Planning Department (ITPD) plays a critical role in contributing to Rakuten Group's business success through effective IT finance management. We are responsible for the management accounting of development costs (Tech costs), encompassing budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and comprehensive reporting. This ensures financial transparency, accuracy, operational efficiency through system development, and the strategic alignment of IT investments with organizational objectives.

We are seeking an experienced Business Process Lead to join our team.  The successful candidate will be responsible for leading business process improvement or reengineering initiatives and managing system implementation projects.  This role requires a strategic thinker with strong project management skills, solid problem solving mind and a deep understanding of business processes.  Business Process Lead will work closely with Budget Management Group and Corporate IT Division, to support budget planning, BvA/BvF analysis (Budget vs. Actual/Forecast analysis).

 

Position Details

- Lead Business Process Improvement or Reengineering in Rakuten Tech.

- Project lead or management for system implementation.

- The position will collaborate with the Budget Management Group, Manager and Development Project Leader, including overseas subsidiaries, in Tech Division, Corporate IT Division, and Corporate Finance and Accounting Division

Mandatory Qualifications:

- Experience in Business Process Improvement or Business Process Reengineering

- Basic Knowledge of Management Accounting

- Fluent level Japanese, Fluent level English

Desired Qualifications:

- Work experience in IT Industry

- 2nd Grade of Nissho Bookkeeping or US CPA
