The Team:

The Business Portfolio Manager plays a pivotal role in boosting the productivity of S&P Global Energy (SPGE ) Commercial Teams while delivering an exceptional customer experience. A key aspect of this role is to serve as a vital link between Commercial Managers, Commercial Contract Support, Fulfillment, Order Management, and Collections teams. By streamlining and accelerating the contract processing workflow, Business Portfolio Managers (BPMs) enhance operational efficiency, ultimately ensuring that SPGE clients receive their services promptly and effectively. BPMs contributions directly impact client satisfaction and loyalty, reinforcing SPGE commitment to providing outstanding service.


Responsibilities and Impact:

This role empowers sales representatives to focus their efforts on revenue-generating activities, enhancing customer interactions and ensuring that our clients receive an outstanding, all-around service experience.

  • Collaborate closely with the Commercial Contract Support (CCS), Order Management (OM), and Collection (CFR) teams to ensure the prompt and efficient implementation of commercial contracts, trials, and service changes that meet client needs.
  • Facilitate the processing of auto renewals, multi-year agreements, and ad hoc sales to provide clients with seamless service continuity.
  • Proactively monitor and report on contracts set to expire within six months, ensuring timely communication with CMs and clients to discuss renewal options.
  • Prepare and manage necessary documentation, including Master Service Agreements (MSA) and Service Agreements (SA), for new orders and renewals, ensuring compliance with legal and pricing standards to protect client interests.
  • Oversee the sales pipeline and maintain accurate Salesforce reporting.
  • Respond promptly to client inquiries, ensuring a high level of service and satisfaction.
  • Follow up on any open contract escalations to ensure swift resolution and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Assist management in preparing impactful presentations by gathering insights and creating visuals that effectively communicate value to clients.
  • Engage proactively in contract negotiations and consolidation to provide clients with essential information regarding the invoicing and payment processes.
  • Support Commercial Managers and Client Development Managers in business management and account planning, providing assistance during their travel to enhance client interactions.

What We’re Looking For:

The ideal candidate will build a very deep understanding on S&P Global Energy contract processing procedures. This successful candidate will have some interaction with clients. The customer experience is paramount, and they will serve as a backup fielding and directing client enquires to the right department if the Commercial Manager is unavailable.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Highly proficient in systems (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Previously worked in a sales support and / or order administration role.
  • Excellent organization and communication skills both written and verbal; interpersonal skills, ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects/tasks while working in a fast paced, deadline driven environment; with strong time management skill and results oriented
  • Must be able to work independently, take initiative to resolve tasks with a can-do attitude and have a financial analytical mindset
  • High level of English (Verbal and Written)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Degree and/ or other business discipline/ training
  • Strong planning and organization skills
  • Has broad based knowledge of Salesforce, order processing and customer service skills
