The Marine Corps Enterprise Network (SMIT-MCEN) Contract is an eight-year, $7.7 billion program responsible for maintaining and modernizing the primary global network of the Navy and Marine Corps.
To support this critical effort, Leidos is seeking a Business Planning Specialist to join our team in Camp Lejeune, NC.
The Business Planning Specialist provides day-to-day administrative and program coordination support to the SMIT-MCEN program under the direction of government leadership. This mid-level role supports personnel actions, documentation, collaboration activities, and routine planning efforts to ensure accurate reporting, operational continuity, and compliance with customer processes.
SMIT is the largest IT services program for the Navy. As a member of the Leidos team, you will assist in the delivery of the core backbone of the Navy-Marine Corps Intranet, including cybersecurity services, network operations, service desk, and data transport. Ultimately, Leidos will support the Navy in unifying its shore-based networks and data management to improve capability and service while also saving significant dollars by focusing efforts under one enterprise network.
Responsibilities
Execute assigned tasks under government customer direction.
Manage and track ITPRS requests, providing routine status updates.
Coordinate scheduling and maintain conference room calendars.
File, organize, and maintain official customer documentation.
Process personnel check-ins and check-outs for MIL, CIV, and CTR staff.
Update organizational charts, access rosters, and recall rosters to reflect personnel changes.
Maintain a running Access roster and produce a finalized monthly version for customer approval.
Update records and content within the KMD portal.
Provide administrative support for DAI-related requests.
Program & Collaboration Support
Assist in identifying program and collaboration requirements based on customer direction.
Support planning, coordination, and documentation activities for collaborative and program initiatives.
Conduct basic research, analysis, and information synthesis to support program execution.
Assist with coordination of process improvements, pilots, or operational enhancements.
Provide clear explanations and recommended approaches to teammates and customer stakeholders to support effective collaboration and execution.
Exercise independent judgment within defined procedures and customer guidance.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field of study.
US Citizen with an active DoD Secret security clearance.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in program support, administrative, or operational roles.
Experience managing competing priorities and recurring tasks.
Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience with Excel for data analysis, reporting, and PivotTable development
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting government or DoD programs preferred.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
