One of the world’s leading and most recognized brands requires an industry-leading Assets Protection (AP) team who ensures the security of our teams, vendors, buildings and merchandise. Assets Protection teams' function is to provide a secure environment for our team members and mitigate shortage to increase profitability in Target distribution centers and stores. Assets Protection teams will do this by leading a physical security culture and responding to crisis events, investigating and resolving theft, and educating team members on operational shortage priorities.

As a BUSINESS PARTNER ASSETS PROTECTION, you will positively impact several key areas of Target’s business. Your work will contribute to keeping Target the safest and most secure place to work and shop through supporting programs, projects, and exciting new initiatives. You will support the successful deployment of security initiatives across Target’s supply chain and stores. This role plays a key part in maintaining and enhancing access control systems, ensuring well-coordinated project delivery, and supporting risk-based security initiatives. You will leverage knowledge, resources, and partnerships to support supply chain and store security risk mitigation needs. You will leverage metrics, data, and reporting to provide a risk picture, inform work, and showcase project outcomes. You will help develop a culture of security awareness and accountability. You will manage, prioritize, and provide visibility to requests and support. Some of the core responsibilities are:

  • Supports the execution and ongoing management of access control and security systems.

  • Leverage data and insights to ensure diverse, accurate, and actionable information informs the development of security routines, risk assessments, risk mitigation tactics, and strategic resource deployment.

  • Respond to field and team requests related to security tools, systems access, and program operations, helping ensure timely resolution and support.

  • Contribute to project rollouts by supporting planning, helping identify potential issues or improvements, tracking progress, managing communications, and measuring outcomes.

  • Partner with field leaders, vendors, properties, and other support functions to ensure delivery readiness and successful implementations.

  • Create and maintain tools, trackers, and documentation to support visibility and accountability within assigned workstreams.

  • Lead or co-lead smaller initiatives, pilots, or operational efforts, with support from project or strategy leads.

About you:

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • 2–4 years of experience, ideally in assets protection, corporate security, operations, or construction environments.

  • Analytical mindset with ability to interpret data, generate insights, and demonstrate impact.

  • Experience with physical access control systems (Genea, Trueye, or similar platforms) preferred.

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to support projects, manage timelines, and meet deadlines.

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

  • Team player who fosters strong relationships with internal partners and field teams.

  • Intermediate computer skills: reporting, tracking tools, Microsoft Office proficiency and fluency in excel with pivot tables and formulas.

  • Curious, adaptable, and eager to improve processes and results through continuous learning.

This position may be considered for a Remote or Hybrid (known internally at Target as "Flex for Your Day") work arrangement based on Target's needs.  A Remote work arrangement means the team member works full-time from home or an alternate location that's not a Target location, does not have a desk at a Target location and may travel to HQ up to 4 times a year.  A Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement means the team member's core role may be performed either remote or onsite at a Target location depending upon what your role, team and tasks require for that day. Work duties cannot be performed outside of the country of the primary work location, unless otherwise prescribed by Target.
