The City and County of Denver offers competitive pay commensurate with education and experience. New hires are typically brought into the organization between $59,000 - $80,000/annually, based on experience and education. The City and County of Denver supports a hybrid workplace model. Employees work on-site several days a week at their assigned job location and may work off-site as needed.
This position is based at the Denver Wastewater Building, located at 2000 W. 3rd Ave, Denver, CO 80223. Employees can expect to work on-site primarily on Tuesdays, with the other two on-site days being flexible. The specific schedule will be discussed upon starting.
Employees must work within the state of Colorado on their off-site (remote) days.

The Project Delivery Administration – Environmental Implementation Division (ENVIRO) has an opening for a Business Operations Administrator. The ENVIRO team is responsible for planning, design, and construction implementation of capital storm, sanitary, green infrastructure, and bridge projects across DOTI. This role will support the ENVIRO Program Support and Bridge Team.
Key responsibilities will include purchasing, contracting, document control, records, and general office management. This position’s primary focus will be contract management.
Specifically, as a Business Operations Administrator you will:
Manage operational and administrative activities, services, and regulatory requirements, serving as a liaison and central point of contact for the department. Responsibilities include creating and managing purchase orders, supporting vendor invoice processing, and performing other administrative functions as needed
Serve as a technical liaison, providing consultative and technical guidance to employees, managers, and other stakeholders, and assisting in the resolution of complex or sensitive inquiries and concerns
Support the development and implementation of new or revised operational and administrative policies, procedures, and directives, and communicate changes to staff and management.
Conduct surveys, compile and analyze data and trends, establish systems for maintaining program-related information, and recommend revisions or improvements based on findings.
Manage and monitor training activities for the program area, including conducting needs assessments, evaluating training effectiveness, and participating in instruction.
Communicate with a wide range of city staff and management, outside agencies, consultants, contractors, vendors, community/business groups, and the general public to share information and resolve problems or issues.
Prepare a variety of analytical and operational reports, correspondence, and other documentation and provide operational information and statistical data for management/departmental use.
Assist with office supplies, uniforms, and technology ordering. To include the tracking of technology assignments and warranties.
Assist with invoices and contract management related duties as needed. Contract management may increase with time to become an essential duty for this position’s daily responsibilities.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
