Business Operation Analyst

Description -

What a Business Operation Analyst does at HP:

  • Drive Material Assurance of Supply (AOS) analytics and risk mitigation to prevent factory disruptions and customer impact.
  • Support NPI, product transitions, and EOL activities by identifying and mitigating material and supply risks.
  • Enable supply chain resiliency initiatives through data‑driven insights on sourcing strategies, buffers, and risk diversification.
  • Own Pumori data governance, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across the material lifecycle.
  • Analyze and support execution of material buffer strategies to balance supply protection and inventory exposure.
  • Lead analytical support for Last Time Buy (LTB) planning and execution to ensure continuity of supply.
  • Produce operational reports and dashboards, translating supply‑demand trends into actionable insights for leadership.
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally with Planning, Factory Ops, Procurement, Engineering, and Finance to improve end‑to‑end processes.
  • Support operational governance, reviews, and war rooms through structured analysis and clear communication.

Individuals who do well in this role at HP, usually possess:

  • Education and Experience Required:

  • First level university degree or equivalent experience

  • Typically 2-4 years of experience in a supply chain function.

  • Knowledge and Skills:

  • Demonstrated understanding of supply chain processes (plan, source, make deliver).

  • Strong analytical and data modeling skills.

  • Strong interpersonal skills.

  • Developed Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and other analytical aids to help manage the operation.

  • Developing Project Management Skills.

  • Demonstrated business acumen and technical knowledge within area of responsibility.

  • Proficient understanding of HP's overall supply chain strategy.
