Business Management Senior Associate

The Business Management Senior Associate supports the delivery of general business management, analytics and operational coordination activities for Global Regulatory & International Operations (GRIO). The role contributes to business excellence, transparency and effective execution through accurate data maintenance, preparation of analyses, coordination of deliverables and support of communications underpinning the RIO business strategy.

Operating under general supervision, the Senior Associate manages assigned business management activities across finance, reporting, governance and programme support, working closely with the Business Manager and other stakeholders to ensure timely, compliant and high‑quality outcomes.


 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Headcount, Workforce Operations & Compliance Support

  • Supports execution of headcount management and reporting activities across Regulatory & International Operations, including maintaining accurate headcount, contractor and vacancy data in line with agreed processes.
  • Prepares and maintains routine headcount, onboarding, offboarding and movement reports, reconciling data across Finance, HR, PMO and Business Operations systems to ensure consistency and accuracy.
  • Contributes to Business Manager‑led initiatives relating to resource planning, workforce optimization and organizational changes by preparing data, coordinating inputs from stakeholders and tracking agreed actions.
  • Acts as a coordination point for routine workforce compliance activities, ensuring timely completion of required steps and escalating non‑standard, complex or high‑risk issues to the Business Manager for review and resolution.
  • Supports governance processes through coordination of materials, tracking actions and maintaining records.
  • Ensures assigned activities comply with Pfizer policies, SOPs and required controls.
  • Maintains documentation to support audit readiness and compliance reviews.
     

Business & Financial Operations

  • Supports budgeting, forecasting, financial tracking and financial analytics for assigned portfolios or cost centres.
  • Produces routine financial analytics, variance explanations and management reports using established templates and tools.
  • Supports coordination of purchase orders, invoices and vendor spend tracking in line with internal controls.
  • Ensures financial data and analytical outputs are accurate, complete and delivered within agreed timelines.
     

Project & Programme Support

  • Supports business management activities for projects, programmes and BAU initiatives.
  • Maintains project trackers, timelines, status updates and action logs.
  • Coordinates deliverables across stakeholders and flags risks or issues to supervisors as appropriate.
  • Contributes to the completion of moderately complex projects and workstreams.
     

Stakeholder Coordination

  • Liaises with internal stakeholders (e.g. Regulatory, Finance, PMO, HR, Procurement) on routine business management matters.
  • Communicates clear and accurate information using established channels.
  • Escalates issues where guidance or decisions are required.
     

Operational Excellence

  • Identifies opportunities to improve efficiency or clarity within assigned processes.
  • Supports implementation of agreed process improvements, tools or templates.
  • Utilizes standard digital tools (e.g. Excel, SharePoint, reporting systems) for tracking and reporting.
     

Ways of Working

  • Manages own workload to meet agreed targets and deadlines.
  • Works within established procedures with general instruction on outcomes.
  • Applies sound judgement to resolve routine to moderately complex issues.
  • Supports knowledge sharing within the team and may assist in onboarding or task support for junior colleagues.


 

QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

Required Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in business management, finance operations, PMO or business support roles.
  • Experience working in a global or matrix environment.
  • Understanding of Pfizer policies and procedures and their application in the workplace.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in pharmaceutical, regulatory or other highly regulated environments.
  • Exposure to data analytics, reporting or business performance tracking.
  • Project management experience
     

SKILLS

  • Strong organizational and time‑management skills with ability to manage multiple assignments.
  • Solid analytical skills with attention to detail and data accuracy.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders across functions and locations.
  • Proficiency with business and financial tools (e.g. Excel, reporting systems).
  • Adaptable, proactive and comfortable working in a changing environment.
     


 

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS

  • Reports to Business Manager, Global Regulatory & International Operations.
  • Works closely with Business Operations, Finance, PMO, Regulatory teams and other enabling functions.
  • Interacts with internal stakeholders across regions and, where required, vendor partners in a support capacity.



Work Location Assignment: Hybrid (some office presence is required)
