Compensation

Compensation includes a base salary in the range of $122,600.00 - $204,400.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.

Job Description

This is a rare blend of strategic and hands-on. you’ll partner directly with senior business leaders to shape data strategy while personally owning the end-to-end build of the solution, whether that’s a dashboard, a lightweight app, an automation, or a full data product.

Act as a senior individual contributor serving as trusted strategic advisor to executives and customers, driving business transformation through AI-powered analytics solutions and strategic data products. Own end-to-end product development from market research through delivery and adoption, leveraging Cox Fleet's unique first and 3rd party data to create monetizable industry benchmarks and competitive advantage. Work independently with senior stakeholders to enable organizational divide-and-conquer execution.

What You’ll Do

Key Responsibilities

  • Own strategic data products end-to-end from market research and competitive analysis through technical architecture, delivery, and customer adoption

  • Design and build AI-powered products that transform Cox Fleet and customer operations; leverage AI as core product capability to deliver differentiated solutions

  • Work independently with internal/external customers and executives; conduct customer discovery, gather requirements, and inspire decision-makers to adopt bold strategies without requiring direct management oversight

  • Collaborate with Data Solutions leadership and CADS/CAPTG teams to define product roadmaps, prioritization frameworks, and strategic direction; influence technical architecture decisions with enterprise-wide impact

  • Rapidly context-switch across strategic data products, automation solutions, AI implementations, and operational reporting—each requiring different technical stacks and stakeholder management approaches

  • Mentor Managers and Senior Analysts on product thinking, customer engagement, technical architecture, and professional development; model owner mindset and business expertise

Who You Are 

Required Experience & Expertise

  • Bachelor's degree in related discipline (e.g., Data Science, Data Analytics, Computer Science, etc.) and 8+ years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g., Master's degree and 6+ years, or PhD and 3+ years, or 12+ years total experience)

  • Expert SQL and data manipulation; strong proficiency with Tableau (preferred) or similar BI platforms; experience with cloud data platforms (Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery) and infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Azure)

  • Python proficiency for data processing and automation; understanding of AI/ML concepts including model evaluation, feature engineering, and production deployment

  • 5+ years strategic-level analytics consulting working directly with senior stakeholders/executives to define initiatives and drive decision-making

  • Proven track record delivering products that create measurable business value; experience conducting market research, competitive analysis, and customer discovery to inform product strategy

  • Exceptional communication skills across technical and business audiences; ability to create compelling executive presentations and translate complex analyses into clear narratives that influence decision-making

  • Comfort working independently with customers and executives without direct management oversight—ability to represent organization with credibility in senior forums

  • Ability to manage complex multi-workstream projects with competing priorities; adaptability to rapidly changing business needs while maintaining quality and strategic focus

Preferred Experience

  • Automotive/fleet management experience

  • Experience with upply/demand matching algorithms or optimization problems; monetizable data products or industry benchmarks; mobile workforce or field service operations

  • Experience creating AI-powered analytics products in production environments.
