Pay Range

We are at a pivotal moment to join our analytics team as we strive to prioritize data in decision-making processes across all levels of the organization. In this capacity, the Business Intelligence and Data Analyst will leverage their expertise in data analysis and reporting solutions to develop comprehensive reports utilizing our preferred Business Intelligence platform, Microsoft Power BI. Additionally, the role will support our team in integrating new data sources into our Data Resort hosted in Microsoft Fabric. The ideal candidate will demonstrate proficiency in reviewing and analyzing data from multiple sources and possess experience with data platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Microsoft Azure.
The selected candidate will collaborate closely with our Data Engineering Led to ensure that our Data Lakehouse is configured to enable teams to efficiently generate their own “self-service” reports from a repository of high-quality, validated, and cleansed data. To maintain data integrity, the candidate will participate in our data governance initiatives, collaborating with teams across the enterprise to establish structures that guarantee valid and accurate data and reporting.

This is a Temporary Full-Time role (1Year Contract)

Key Areas of Accountability:

  • Gather data from multiple sources (databases, APIs, spreadsheets); ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency; ensure it is integrated into VHAs “data resort”.

  • Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights; use statistical techniques to interpret data and support business decisions.

  • Design and develop dashboards and reports using Power BI; present data in a clear and actionable format for stakeholders.

  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs); monitor business performance and provide insights to improve efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Participate in Data Governance to ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with data governance policies; perform regular data quality checks and audits.

Required Qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or other IT related areas is required.

  • A Minimum of 3 years of experience with Business Intelligence platforms, such as Microsoft Power BI, QlikView or Crystal reports is required.

  • Experience with SQL server is required. 

  • Experience with database queries and stored procedure writing is required. 

  • A Minimum of 3 years' experience in a health care environment is preferred.

  • Experience architecting a data warehouse/data lake is nice to have.

  • Experience with SSIS and/or DTS packages in nice to have 

  • An understanding of dynamic scripting such as Python or R is nice to have.

  • Demonstratable experience in reviewing and analyzing data from multiple data sources. 

  • The ability to derive insights from data and present those recommendations clearly to all levels of the organization (including senior management).

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills are required. 

  • Supreme organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple reporting/data requests and adhere to timelines. 

  • Autonomous, independent worker with the ability to work with team members closely. 

  • Ability to be flexible in hours worked including some work after hours and on weekends.

  • Excellent work and attendance record required.
