Job Summary:
BI Analyst (Data-Focused)
Get Inspired by the Work You’ll Do
- Own the extraction, transformation, and validation of data from multiple sources to support business analysis and reporting
- Write, optimize, and maintain complex SQL queries to power dashboards, reporting, and ad hoc analysis
- Design and build scalable datasets and data models to support business domain.
- Partner with business and technical teams to define data requirements and translate them into structured data solutions
- Identify data quality issues, implement validation checks, and drive improvements in data integrity and reliability
- Develop automated reporting and data pipelines to improve efficiency and reduce manual processes
- Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and key business drivers, and translate findings into actionable insights
- Create and maintain documentation for data models, transformations, and reporting logic
Qualifications
- BA/BS degree with 1–3 years of relevant experience, or equivalent practical experience
- Strong SQL skills, including experience with complex joins, window functions, and query optimization
- Experience working with large, relational datasets and building data models for analytics
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with BI tools such as Power BI or similar
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate business needs into data solutions
- Familiarity with data warehousing concepts (e.g., Databricks/Hive/Snowflake schemas)
- Experience with Microsoft Access or similar tools is a plus
