Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Business Intelligence Analyst is responsible for utilizing data and analytical tools to provide insights and support decision-making processes across the company. 

The BI Analyst is responsible for leading the development of a centralized data warehouse based on our primary strategic ERP and have cleansed a dataset for our non-strategic ERPs that will eventually be sunset. This will enable management across the company to gain visibility to a standardized set of KPIs and dashboards as we continue to grow through additional M&A activity. The BI Analyst will utilize SQL, Alteryx & PowerBI to extract, transform, and analyze data from various sources to create insightful and actionable reports and dashboards. Additionally, the BI Analyst will be responsible for training cross-functional teams to effectively utilize these insights and tools, ensuring data-driven decision-making across the organization.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead efforts in partnering with the IT organization to develop & publish curated datasets from our primary, strategic ERP

  • Define processes to extract, transform, and ingest data from various non-strategic data sources into a centralized data warehouse.

  • Collaborate with IT, Commercial & Supply Chain teams to ensure data integrity and accuracy.

  • Lead the analysis of complex datasets, creating comprehensive reports and dashboards that provide actionable insights and drive strategic decision-making.

  • Analyze data and create reports and dashboards that provide insights and support decision-making processes.

  • Partner with FP&A leader & CFO to develop standardized KPIs & dashboards

  • Continuously monitor and improve the performance of BI systems and processes.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • 3+ years of relevant experience

  • Strong understanding of data warehousing and ETL processes, and advanced data modeling concepts.

  • Prior experience with SQL and programming languages such as Python, R or similar

  • Advanced proficiency utilizing BI software for dashboard development (e.g. Spotfire, Tableau, PowerBi, Qlik) with preference towards PowerBI

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with experience delivering insights to senior management and cross-functional teams.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment

  • Prior experience utilizing Alteryx a plus but not required

EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, Finance or a related field
