Where We Need You 

We are looking for a Business Intelligence Analyst to join our team in Chicago. Protiviti works in a hybrid environment, and this role requires that you work in-person in our office up to 50% of the time.  

What You Can Expect 

As a Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst, you play a key role in supporting various Finance processes, with a focus on management reporting, system transitions, and automation initiatives. This role emphasizes expertise in tools such as Microsoft Power BI, Power Apps, and emerging platforms like Microsoft Fabric. You will contribute to critical projects, including system conversions, user acceptance testing (UAT), post go-live activities, and firmwide reporting initiatives. You will develop a comprehensive understanding of business strategies, industry trends, and geographical needs, while effectively communicating with stakeholders across all levels of the organization, including Managing Directors and Global leaders. Specific skills in Power BI, Power Apps, Tableau, or Domo are a plus. 

What You Will Be Doing 

  • Support firmwide reporting initiatives and projects, including system conversion, user acceptance testing, and post go-live activities. 

  • Handle day-to-day maintenance of power platform reporting tools and automation of manual processes and tasks. 

  • Assist in the transition to and development of AI tools. 

  • Perform maintenance and development activities related to Microsoft Fabric. 

  • Supports the team by gathering and managing data from different sources and integrates it into Power BI.  

  • Performs business-to-systems analysis and problem-solving of complex management reporting and business issues.  

  • Execute ad hoc requests and analysis, including reporting requirements and data needs.  

  • Partners with various operations groups across Protiviti to deliver ad-hoc reporting and analytics needs. 

 

 

What Will Help You Be Successful 

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills. 

  • Professional, confident, enthusiastic and detail oriented. 

  • Excellent administrative, interpersonal and organizational skills. 

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required. 

  • Ability to manage large data sets (SQL is a plus). 

  • Knowledge of DAX and willingness to master Microsoft Power BI. 

  • Proficient skills in additional Microsoft applications (Word, PowerPoint, MS Teams, Office 365). 

  • Willingness to work flexible schedule to collaborate with counterparts across the world. 

 

Your Educational and Professional Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline (e.g.  Accounting, Finance, Business, or Information Systems) 

  • 1-2 years of experience in a related field, preferably in professional services and/or industry 

  • Power BI and/or Azure Certification are desired 

Our Hybrid Workplace

Starting salary is based on a full-time equivalent schedule. Placement in the range is dependent upon experience, skills and geographic work location. Below is the salary range for this job.

$49,000.00 - $74,000.00

Our annual bonus plan provides eligible employees additional cash and/or discretionary stock compensation opportunities. Below is the bonus target opportunity for this job.

Protiviti also recognizes up to 11 paid holidays each calendar year.
