Overview


ISS is offering an exciting, creative, team-oriented operations environment for someone looking to advance their career in managing activities that are part of the production of research. We are seeking a seasoned Business Intelligence Analyst to join our Research Operations and Change Management team in supporting the production of corporate Research, will work with executives and other business leaders to identify opportunities for improvement and drive data-driven decision making. The successful candidate will turn data into information, information into insight and insight into business decisions.

While this is predominantly an office-based role, working unusual hours away from the office can be part of the role as our internal customers are based in the UK, Continental Europe, Asia, and the Americas.

Responsibilities
 

  • Manages data retrieval and analysis; Translates raw operational data into meaningful visual presentations and dashboards for internal teams and/or external clients
  • Collaborate with team members to collect and analyze data
  • Use graphs, infographics, and other methods to visualize data based on trends and patterns relevant to the business or other stakeholders
  • Establish KPIs to measure the effectiveness of business decisions
  • Monitor performance and data quality control plans to identify improvements
  • Explore large data sets to find usable information
  • Create presentations and reports based on recommendations and findings
  • Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports
  • Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets
  • Filter and “clean” data by reviewing files, reports, printouts, and performance indicators to locate and correct code problems
  • Locate and define new process improvement opportunities
  • Understands how and when to make a choice; how and when to escalate issues to higher levels.
  • Analyzes the risks and future impact of decisions.
  • Make decisions and take timely independent action in pursuit of priorities.


Qualifications
 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Finance or Computer Sciences.
  • Master’s Degree, Certifications in programming languages or other areas related to data analytics are nice to have.
  • Minimum 4 years of strong experience as a Business Intelligence Analyst/ Data Analyst/ Insight Analyst
  • Technical expertise in data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques.
  • Strong knowledge and experience with reporting packages (Tableau, Power BI, Business Objects etc), databases (SQL etc), programming (XML, JavaScript, or ETL frameworks)
  • Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical tools (R Programing, Python and SQL)
  • Excellent command of MS Office (Word, Excel, etc.), Knowledge of Microsoft Visio and data visualization tools (Power BI design 2-3 years of experience).
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings


 

Work Location & Schedule
 

  • Amenable working on a non-traditional (graveyard) schedule. Our office is located at Ayala North Exchange, Makati.
  • Amenable working in hybrid set-up (3 days onsite per week)
