$51.47 - $79.78 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Business Human Resources Consultant

The Business Human Resources Consultant provides project-based HR support across a variety of initiatives aligned with organizational priorities. This role partners with HR and business leaders to deliver targeted solutions related to workforce changes, communications, process improvement, and talent-related projects. The consultant works on a flexible, as-needed basis and brings strong judgment, collaboration, and execution skills to advance projects efficiently and effectively.

Position Highlights:

  • Position:  Business Human Resources Consultant

  • Location: Warrenville, IL

  • Full Time/Part Time:  Per Diem

  • Hours:  Monday-Friday, during normal business hours

  • Travel:  Travel to various Endeavor Health locations will be required as needed  

What you will do:

  • Deliver project-based HR consulting support for defined initiatives such as organizational design changes, restructuring, workforce transitions, and role alignment, operating with minimal oversight and a clear focus on outcomes.

  • Consult with HR and business leaders to clarify project objectives, assess risks and impacts, and recommend practical, compliant solutions aligned with business needs.

  • Lead and support change management efforts by assessing organizational readiness and impact, identifying risks, and defining change strategies (e.g., stakeholder mapping, leader readiness, adoption planning) to support successful implementation of HR and business initiatives.

  • Develop and execute change-related communications by creating clear, timely messaging, leader talking points, and employee materials that explain what is changing, why it matters, and what is expected at each stage of the initiative.

  • Support the design, documentation, and improvement of HR processes and tools to drive consistency, efficiency, and scalability across the organization.

  • Conduct analysis and prepare recommendations using workforce data, policy review, and stakeholder input to inform decision-making and project direction.

What you will need:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business or a related field, required

  • Certification: SHRM-CP (Society for Human Resource Management-Certified Professional) or SHRM-SCP (Society for Human Resource Management-Senior Certified Professional), preferred

  • Experience:

    • 8+ years of relevant and progressive experience in Human Resources

    • 5+ years in a Business HR facing role, preferred
