40Summary:
The Business Finance intern will support the Finance and Accounting department operations, reporting to a finance leader. This role offers direct experience across financial processes, internal controls, reporting and analysis within a healthcare system. This position will receive mentorship by leaders in Finance and Accounting, to gain experience with financial reporting tools, the opportunity to contribute to meaningful projects and process improvements, professional development and networking within the organization.
Education:
High School Diploma required
Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or higher degree in finance, accounting, healthcare administration or a related field required.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is required, and ability to learn and use accounting software systems.
Detailed oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
Enhance professional growth and development through participation in educational and professional programs, keeping current on all government regulations affecting healthcare and not-for-profit accounting and reimbursement procedures.
Must maintain technical expertise through required continuing education.
Follows medical center policies and procedures, objectives, quality improvement guidelines, and safety standards.
