Business Execution Senior Manager-Payments User Acceptance

About this role:

Wells Fargo Payments Operations Change Delivery is seeking a User Acceptance Testing Manager who is responsible for leading and overseeing User Acceptance Testing activities to ensure technology solutions meet business requirements and are production‑ready. This role partners closely with business stakeholders, product owners, technology teams, and delivery leadership to plan, execute, and govern UAT across multiple initiatives.


In this role, you will:

  • Lead end‑to‑end UAT strategy, planning, and execution for medium to large initiatives
  • Manage UAT timelines, scope, risks, and dependencies to support overall delivery milestones

  • Partner with business stakeholders to define UAT approach, entry/exit criteria, and acceptance standards

  • Oversee test case design, execution, defect management, and status reporting

  • Ensure traceability between business requirements and UAT test coverage

  • Identify and escalate risks, defects, and quality concerns with clear mitigation recommendations

  • Establish and enforce UAT governance, standards, and best practices

  • Coordinate across technology, operations, and change teams to support release readiness

  • Identify potential risks when implementing change along with developing mitigation strategies and plans

  • Recommend opportunities for Business Execution process improvement

  • Determine appropriate strategies and actions of multiple business groups to meet moderate to high complex deliverables

  • Interpret procedures and processes, and provide leadership to strategize and execute a variety of programs, services, and initiatives that are significant in scope, complexity, and risk

  • Collaborate with and influence functional business partners, leaders, and executive management to provide support and drive strategic initiatives for the business

  • Manage allocation of people and financial resources for Business Execution

  • Develop and guide a culture of talent development to meet business objectives and strategy

Required Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience in testing, quality assurance, or technology delivery

  • 7+ years of Business Execution, Implementation, or Strategic Planning experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

  • 3+ years Management or leadership experience

  • 3+ years of experience leading UAT efforts for complex business or technology initiatives

  • Strong understanding of SDLC, testing methodologies, and release management

  • Proven ability to manage cross‑functional stakeholders and competing priorities

  • Experience with defect management and test management tools

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience in large, matrixed enterprise environments

  • Financial services, regulated industry, or risk‑based testing experience

  • Experience leading multiple UAT workstreams concurrently

  • Familiarity with Agile, hybrid, and waterfall delivery models

  • Ability to operate with limited supervision

  • Experience managing multiple priorities and deadlines

  • Experience partnering effectively across business and technology teams

  • Ability to adhere to enterprise testing and risk standards
