We are looking for a Business Development Specialist, Lead to join our Pittsburgh (Cheswick) location.
Your Responsibilities:
The Lead Business Development Specialist is responsible for business development (BD) and marketing within the subsea oil & gas Industry for the Commercial Business Segment. Duties include driving growth initiatives, identifying and securing new business opportunities, and leading complex and large-scale proposal efforts. This role plays a critical part in growing strategic partnerships, advancing pipeline development, and supporting the capture of key programs.
Salary: $113,900.00 - $151,800.00 per year

Your Challenge:
Leads the identification, assessment and pursuit of new business opportunities
Develops and executes capture strategies for high-value pursuits, aligning with company objectives and long-term growth plans
Cultivates and maintains trusted relationships with senior-level stakeholders within key industry partners
Serves as capture lead on complex, high-value bids, by collaborating with technical, pricing and contracts teams to develop compelling proposals
Analyzes industry trends, competitor activities, customer budgets and procurement forecasts to inform strategic decisions, providing recommendations to senior leadership on positioning, investment areas, and partnership strategies
Contributes to long-term business development planning and pipeline forecasting, in alignment with corporate growth objectives
Represents the company at industry conferences, technical forums, and client meetings
Collaborate with engineering team to align technology roadmaps with market needs
What you Bring:
Due to DoD requirements, candidates must be US citizens
Must be able to obtain and maintain DoD Security clearances and approvals
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or related field
7+ years of experience in subsea oil & gas or offshore energy markets sales and business development
Existing network within major operators, EPC, and subsea contractors
Strong understanding of subsea production systems
Proven track record of securing major contracts and developing long-term customer relationships
Strategic thinker with a strong orientation toward execution and results
Excellent communication, presentation and listening skills
Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required
Technical aptitude in machine design
Experience setting up sales channels and representation an asset
Experience working in Brazil oil & gas industry preferred
