As a Business Development Representative (BDR) at Ridgeline, you’ll be on the front lines of our go-to-market strategy—introducing investment management firms to the future of enterprise technology. You’ll partner closely with Marketing and Sales to generate qualified pipeline through outbound prospecting, strategic outreach, and compelling communication. You’ll help identify new business opportunities and act as the first point of contact for prospective clients. Your ability to tell the Ridgeline story and spark interest will directly impact our growth and success. In this role, you'll also explore how AI tools like ChatGPT can enhance productivity and effectiveness across prospecting and messaging personalization.

The impact you will have:

  • Conduct outbound prospecting through phone, email, LinkedIn, and other channels to generate qualified meetings for the Sales team
  • Research accounts and contacts to craft personalized, strategic outreach that highlights Ridgeline’s value
  • Manage and maintain a pipeline of leads, tracking progress and outcomes in our CRM
  • Collaborate with Marketing to convert event attendees, campaign respondents, and inbound leads into qualified opportunities
  • Partner with Account Executives to align outreach strategies and ensure smooth handoffs
  • Participate in team meetings, feedback sessions, and training opportunities to continuously improve
  • Act with ownership and a growth mindset as you build expertise in Ridgeline’s product, market, and ideal customer profile
  • Contribute to a positive, learning-focused team culture that celebrates wins and shares best practices

What we look for:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (recent grads welcome!)
  • 0–1 years of professional experience, ideally in sales, customer service, or a client-facing role
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Natural curiosity and a desire to learn and grow in a sales career
  • Resilience, resourcefulness, and a positive attitude toward rejection
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage time effectively
  • Comfortable using tools like Salesforce, Apollo, LinkedIn, HubSpot—or eager to learn
  • Serious interest in having fun at work

Bonus:

  • Familiarity with the investment management industry
  • Experience using AI tools like ChatGPT to enhance writing or research
  • Previous internship or part-time experience in a sales or marketing function

Compensation and Benefits

The cash compensation amount for this role is targeted at $86,000 to $100,000 OTE. Final compensation amounts are determined by multiple factors, including candidate experience and expertise, and may vary from the amount listed above.
