Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to lead commercial growth for our data transformation services and solutions across the Middle East. The ideal candidate brings a strong track record in selling innovative technology solutions within Oil & Gas and Mining, especially first-to-market or niche digital products. This role requires a strong network within national and international operators in the Middle East, as well as deep industry knowledge to engage key stakeholders and drive adoption of cutting-edge data transformation solutions.
The role can be based in key Middle Eastern hubs such as UAE or Saudi Arabia, with frequent travel required across the region.

Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement regional strategic business development plans to drive adoption of niche data services and solutions achieve growth targets.
Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers in Oil & Gas and Mining national and international companies, including geoscientists, data managers, and IT leaders.
Sell first-to-market solutions, ensuring rapid adoption and sustained growth.
Identify client pain points and showcase the value of data transformation solutions.
Drive the full sales cycle from lead generation to closing deals.
Achieve revenue targets and deliver sustainable regional growth.
Maintain industry presence through conferences, networking, and market research.
Collaborate with marketing and product teams to refine go-to-market messaging and product positioning.
Account management and post-sales follow-up to build long-term relationships with clients.
Provide sales forecasts, market insights, and competitive intelligence.
Develop and execute regional business plan to drive adoption of niche data services and solutions.
Work in close collaboration with the other Business development and sales managers active in the Region to ensure a consistent representation of Viridien in front of our current and potential customers and to capture all possible opportunities for all our business groups
Qualifications:
Required:
Proven success in selling niche, new tech services and solutions for subsurface data and digital transformation in Oil & Gas, Mining, or both.
Track record of year-over-year sales growth, exceeding revenue targets.
Established network with Middle Eastern operators (NOCs, IOCs, national and international mining companies) and relationships across geoscience, exploration, data management, and digital transformation teams.
Strong understanding of the regional business culture, procurement cycles, and the importance of building long-term, trust-based relationships.
Experience navigating large, state-owned or government-influenced enterprises and multi-stakeholder environments.
Skilled in communicating complex technical solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Strong negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building abilities.
Willing to travel for client meetings, conferences, and business development.
Strong at developing and nurturing internal networks, ability to influence and coordinate multiple stakeholders discussions and projects
Preferred:
Knowledge of the Saudi Vision 2030 and its implications for the geoscience industry, including the promotion of renewable energy, the development of a sustainable mining industry, and the growth of the oil and gas sector.
In-depth knowledge of subsurface data, workflows, and standards (e.g., OSDU, data management).
Experience working with data platforms, cloud-based solutions, or AI-driven data transformation technologies.
Knowledge of regional market dynamics, competitive solutions, and digital strategies across both Oil & Gas and Mining.
Prior experience working in geoscience, mining geology, petroleum engineering, or data management roles is an advantage.
