Your Next Career Opportunity – Business Development Manager
The primary function of this position is to assist in the activities associated with all strategic real estate acquisition efforts across sectors in line with all of our portfolio offerings. This position is also responsible for interfacing with real estate owners, property managers, and management on and ongoing basis to discuss/review the status of property deals. The Business Development Manager provides the required support to ensure that the property acquisition prospects are taken from concept and moved to a signed deal in a timely fashion.
What You Will Do – Primary Responsibilities
- Develop a go-to-market plan for Strategic real estate acquisition that includes market opportunity, commercial framework, and financial projections.
- Target real estate owners and managers to identify Digital Infrastructure needs and opportunities.
- Build and foster relationships with real estate owners to establish and maintain a robust pipeline of potential transactions within a targeted vertical.
- Entrepreneurial approach to deal making by developing new business models, product offerings, and commercial framework that aligns with the needs of the customer.
- Work cross-functionally with carrier sales, finance, legal, leasing, and other teams as required.
- Develop a channel partner model in the targeted vertical that leverages large pool of system integrators, OEM’s , Platform and App developers, and service providers that can bring qualified opportunities to us in the targeted vertical.
- Work with Marketing to develop standard collaterals of our offering to customers, channel partners, and at trade shows.
- Ability to clearly communicate commercial deal framework for acquisition opportunity with legal and finance teams.
- Ensure internal and external customers are satisfied with day-to-day operations. Communicate and assist with the resolution of customer issues as required.
- Possess technical engineering expertise for real estate targets and assist Business Development Directors in customer meetings.
- Organize and prepare proposal packages for consideration of proposed deals/structures to be reviewed by senior leaders.
- Establish, manage and control the budget for individual projects or a larger portfolio of projects.
- Ability to read, interpret financial models and lease agreements.
- Work closely with the engineering and other technical teams to ensure customer satisfaction and drive sales growth.
- Promote and sell the company's technical products or services to potential customers utilizing technical knowledge and expertise to understand customer requirements, demonstrate product capabilities, and provide effective solutions.
- Study building floorplans and site layouts in detail, and develop the appropriate solution for any given building type and capacity.
- Analyze customer business needs and develop innovative solutions.
- Ensure all acquisition goals are being met to support company deployment initiatives.
- Support M&A due diligence efforts.
- Participate in sales calls/presentations with potential customers to achieve business development goals and objectives. Build strategic partnerships with Service Providers, Integrators, and other ecosystem partners in the targeted vertical to get access to large real estate portfolios.
What You’ll Need – Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Finance, Business, or related field preferred;
- and 5-10 years of experience in a business development or technical support in the telecommunications industry required. Industry experience in real estate, project management, and site development service and 2+ years experience leading others.
- General understanding of Wireless Network Design and Architecture, In-Building DAS Design and Engineering, Private Networks, and Data Centers
- Financial Modeling
- Highly specialized knowledge in the area of RF engineering in the design and construction of wireless infrastructure
- Demonstrated knowledge and intermediate proficiency working with Microsoft Office Suite software including Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint and Microsoft Outlook.
- Licensed Real Estate Agent Broker’s License Preferred
