What you will be doing:
The Business Development Manager (BDM) for the ROCKWOOL Systems Division is responsible for supporting the strategic development and profitability improvement of the Division. The BDM works closely with the Systems Division Senior Vice President and the Division’s subsidiaries (four in total) to drive strategic initiatives, coordinate corporate programs and ensure effective execution of projects.
Business development
- Act as a strategic sparring partner to the Systems Division Senior Vice President and operating companies leadership on priorities and strategic issues, including new business initiatives and organizational development.
- Lead and support business development projects across the Systems Division, including major investments, acquisitions, segment and marketing strategies, and business planning.
- Proactively identify opportunities to enhance division profitability and operational efficiency, and recommend concrete actions to realize those improvements.
Support to subsidiaries
- Support subsidiaries in implementing corporate strategy, processes and tools.
- Coordinate with corporate support functions to ensure efficient, pragmatic collaboration and aligned priorities for the operating companies.
- Provide ad hoc support to the management teams of the subsidaries during vacancies or major projects.
Business controlling and performance reviews
- Challenge and support the subsidiaries on financial performance through targeted analyses and recommendations.
- Organize and facilitate monthly and quarterly business review meetings with the management teams of the subsidiaries.
- Prepare business review materials and participate in the meetings with the ROCKWOOL Group Chief Executive Officer and Chief Financial Officer.
- Coordinate the preparation of budgets and strategy reviews in collaboration with the subsidiaries and the Group functions.
- Oversee coordination of the annual bonus process with the subsidiaries, Group Finance and Group Human Resources.
Organization and governance
- The BDM role has no direct reports but coordinates with subsidiaries and Group functions to secure the resources needed to deliver projects successfully.
- The BDM is a member of the Systems Division leadership team and participates in related management meetings.
What you bring:
Required competencies and qualifications
- Strong knowledge of finance, strategy and how organizations operate.
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to synthesize complex information into actionable recommendations.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English; ability to present to senior leaders and cross-functional teams.
- Experience with project leadership, business development or corporate strategy in a matrix organization is desirable.
