Role Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and driven individual to grow and maintain a strong client base in alignment with Ashburton Investments Namibia’s strategic objectives. The ideal candidate must be willing to travel extensively to engage with our branch network and support business development across regions.

Are you someone who can:

  • Build and maintain the client base in line with annual targets.
  • Identify opportunities through different sources and stakeholders, including generating new leads and making cold calls.
  • Build and maintain professional working relationships with key stakeholders within the Group’s branch network, demonstrating strong communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.
  • Create calling plan and entertainment plan.
  • Meet with potential clients, understand their needs, and propose tailored solutions (including cross-selling where relevant).
  • Calculate pricing, prepare quotations, and assist with implementation of deals.
  • Make regular visits to clients to maintain relationships, track progress, and manage expectations.
  • Keep abreast of changes in clients’ businesses to identify additional opportunities and ensure continued alignment.

You will be an ideal candidate if you meet the below minimum requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Marketing, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel extensively.
  • 5–7 years’ experience in business development, sales, relationship management, or client-facing roles within the financial services or investment industry.
  • Proven track record of building and managing a profitable client portfolio.
  • Experience working within an intermediated distribution environment, retail distribution, or similar business development structures is highly advantageous.
  • Demonstrated experience in stakeholder management, client engagement, and delivering tailored financial or investment solutions.
  • Experience in conducting client needs analysis, preparing proposals/quotations, and managing onboarding processes (including KYC and compliance requirements).
