THE OPPORTUNITY

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced solution selling Business Development Manager to join our Connected Workforce Solutions team in East Tamaki Auckland, NZ.

Dematic's CWS division offers solutions across the supply chains of the retail and wholesale distribution, e-commerce, grocery, food and beverage, manufacturing and transport industries. Our experience and 'best-in-class project delivery approach covers mobile computing and logistics IT systems, and the implementation of leading edge technologies such as voice-directed & vision directed solutions, hand held and vehicle mount computers, printers, scanners, RFID and wireless infrastructure that connects with management information systems.

The role focuses on Business Development selling innovative solutions, as well as providing Account Management partnering with many of the world’s leading IT technology and software & hardware providers.  With a clear focus on driving new business opportunities across New Zealand by leveraging Dematic’s outstanding reputation in the Supply Chain Logistics and Automation space.

Tasks and Qualifications:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of quality sales prospects to meet quotas.

  • Manage prospect profiles by timing, size, and type to support new business strategies

  • Maintain a CRM system updated for accurate forecasting and management reporting

  • Maintain strong relationships with customers, business partners, and industry contacts

  • Identify Dematic cross-division sales opportunities and coordinate responses

  • Monitor market trends and report key developments to management

  • Respond promptly to all customer enquiries

  • Ensure customer requirements are met from enquiry through delivery and service support

  • Prepare and deliver professional presentations aligned with current market insights

  • Handover projects smoothly to the Project Management team

  • Recommend pricing for projects beyond authority limits

  • Actively participate in team meetings and events

ABOUT YOU

Successful candidates will possess the following skills, qualifications and experience:

  • 3+ years Business Development and Account Management experience

  • Proven track record of effective business development, account management, developing new business opportunities and successfully meeting and exceeding internal targets

  • Experienced and confident engaging with senior stakeholders

  • Strong interpersonal and relationship skills

  • Experience within the supply chain/logistics industry and related support solutions are highly regarded

  • Qualifications in Engineering, Commerce or Logistics are highly regarded
