The London Independent Hospital in Stepney Green is part of Circle Health Group, Britain's leading provider of independent healthcare with a nationwide network of hospitals & clinics, performing more complex surgery than any other private healthcare provider in the country.
We have an opportunity for a Business Development Lead to join their team of staff in the Marketing department.
This is a full time role for 37.5 hours a week. The role holder will be required to cover a flexible shift pattern.
Duties of this role include:
- You work in conjunction with the Executive Director and other members of the senior management team to devise and implement a sales and marketing strategy, which ensures the delivery of budgeted activity across all payor groups, in line with the corporate and hospital operational plan.
- You produce and maintain the hospital sales and marketing tactical action plan, detailing key initiatives which will drive sales performance.
- You define a local consumer marketing strategy, ensure all activity is aligned with both the local market and with national strategies, collateral is produced to the highest standard and conforms to brand guidelines, production is efficient and return on investment is identified and proven.
- You develop and drive an annual plan of consumer events to support the achievement of the hospital sales targets, in line with hospital’s sales and marketing strategy.
- You support the implementation and tracking of a senior management team-wide Consultant account management programme to grow hospital business and mitigate risks to growth, including initiatives to acquire new Consultants and specialties and to help support and grow Consultants’ practices.
Applicants should meet the following criteria:
- Strategy development and implementation experience.
- Experience in developing and implementing sales and marketing plans.
- Good negotiation skills.
- Good presentational skills both written and oral.
- Key Account Management experience including stakeholder engagement.
- Experience of customer relations management / business to business sales.
- A proven track record of successful delivery of service developments.
- Degree level education.
- Proven influencing and sales skills.
