Job Summary
Iron Mountain is seeking a motivated and strategic Business Development Executive to join our Global Industries team.
In this role, you will be responsible for driving net new sales and revenue growth within prospective and existing customer accounts in your assigned vertical. You will sell comprehensive solutions by prospecting, networking, and executing account plans to increase Iron Mountain’s footprint and consistently achieve revenue quotas.
What You’ll Do (Responsibilities)
In this role, you will:
Drive Revenue & Growth: Lead the negotiation process and close new areas of opportunity to meet and exceed quota attainment while ensuring acceptable outcomes for pricing, profitability, and SLAs.
Strategic Account Management: Develop and implement strategic account plans by understanding the client’s business model, value proposition, and decision-making channels.
Solution Positioning: Assess customer needs to position Iron Mountain’s total solution offerings, highlighting competitive advantages and creating real value for both existing and net new accounts.
Relationship Building: Build and influence relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, including CXO-level executives and channel partners, acting as an industry expert.
Pipeline & Activity Management: Maintain a consistent sales pipeline by managing RFP responses, tracking activity in SFDC, forecasting, and conducting competitive research.
Industry Engagement: Stay active within industry associations and trade shows to increase brand awareness and keep current with emerging market trends.
Compliance & Ethics: Comply with all applicable laws and company policies, exhibiting ethical behavior in accordance with the Code of Ethics and Business Conduct.
What You’ll Bring (Skills & Qualifications)
The ideal candidate will have:
4 – 7 years of experience in sales or account management.
Deep Industry Knowledge: Strong background in strategic account management, sales processes, and solution selling.
Sales Expertise: Proficiency in Challenger Selling and Power Messaging to align unique insights with customer priorities.
Negotiation Skills: Proven ability to influence stakeholders and negotiate contracts, pricing, and service level agreements (SLAs).
Communication Excellence: Excellent written, oral, and presentation skills, with the ability to present to senior-level management.
Education: A 4-year College Degree is required.
Travel: Ability to travel up to 25%.
