In our Global Product Group – Grid and Power Quality Solutions and Service (GPQSS), we are continuously evolving our offerings to deliver the full value of our technology and innovation. Our mission is to support global customers in meeting their energy needs while enhancing efficiency, conserving resources, and reducing emissions through effective and scalable business models.
As a key member of the GPQSS team in Hub Asia, you will lead business development efforts across our Edge portfolio in our Hub Asia, expanding our segment, solution and business model reach beyond our current focus areas. Your role will be instrumental in deploying advanced business models and innovative solutions tailored to the dynamic evolving market. You will be responsible to build up the early customer engagement and the relevant pipeline in our Edge Solutions from Data Centers, Offshore Wind / Renewable and Industries with our Integrated Solution portfolio of Energy management System, BESS, Medium Voltage solutions, Plant Electrification, Industrial optimization etc. to complement our Core Business in Grid Connections and Power Electronics.
How you’ll make an impact:
You will cultivate and expand relationships with existing key customers, markets, and segments, promote our strategic direction and growing portfolio to ensure we deliver optimal value and meet evolving customer needs.
You will identify and explore new markets and segments by listening to customer needs and monitoring market trends, collaborate closely with customers and parallel industry or solution providers to co-develop comprehensive solutions that address specific challenges.
You will roll out and implement innovative business models such as long-term partnerships, exclusive developments, and the Base Load concept. Introduce mechanisms like Frame Agreements and Capacity Reservation Agreements to secure opportunities while ensuring delivery capability, technical optimization, and commercial val-ue for both customers and Hitachi Energy.
You will build and nurture long-term strategic relationships with parallel industries and key suppliers to deliver stronger, system-level solutions that enhance our competitive edge.
You will drive the development and implementation of integrated solutions by leveraging our expanded portfolio including Hitachi and third-party offerings to bring innovation and differentiation to our customers.
You will work with Product Management and the Global Application Engineering team to bring technical solutions to our customers during the Early Engagement and Busi-ness Development stages of the project and support these solutions during the Sales and Tendering stage.
You will be responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your background:
You hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
Minimum 8 to 10 years of experience in strategic marketing, application engineering, business development, or customer solutions preferably in the energy industry.
Experience in developing and implementing innovative business models and partner-ship frameworks.
Strong experience in the Australian Energy market with track record of Sales, Business Development and/or Application Engineering, proven track record of developing and executing go-to-market strategies and building long-term customer relationships.
Strong commercial acumen with the ability to translate customer needs into business opportunities, strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to execution and problem-solving. Application Engineering experience in Grid Connections, Power Quality, Energy Management and/or Integrated Solutions, ability to navigate complex matrix organizations and drive cross-functional collaboration.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across diverse cultures and seniority levels.
