POSITION SUMMARY
S&BD’s Policy Strategy team is responsible for proactively developing and aligning MPC’s position on policy related opportunities and subsequently partnering with other internal organizations on MPC’s advocacy strategy. This includes existing and developing regulations and legislation which may impact the enterprise. The principal areas of focus include fuels and low-carbon, midstream, and general policy. The team’s success requires significant cross-functional collaboration to ensure appropriate consideration of enterprise-wide perspectives of policy matters. Furthermore, the team will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to then execute on supporting an advocacy strategy. This will include close alignment with MPC Government Affairs and external industry trade groups.
The position will report to the Policy Strategy Director and be based out of MPCs Findlay campus. It will offer broad exposure to senior leadership as well as internal and external subject matter experts as it relates to general energy related policy.
This position is part of a job family with multiple career levels. Final title and compensation will be based on the successful candidate’s overall experience level and qualifications.
