In this role, you drive the market expansion across a territory primarily focused on France, while also covering Belgium, Spain and Switzerland.
This position is to be filled remotely (France) with travel to be expected at our customers' sites and at our Bio Elpida site near Lyon.
Sartorius Bio Elpida supports its customers in the development of cell banks (RCB, MCB, WCB), the storage of cell banks, the production of cell therapy batches and biological drug substances, as well as fill & finish activities. Working in synergy with other services within the Sartorius Group, our offering covers the full value chain from process development to GMP production.

Assessing market potential and identifying prospects through targeted field activities, with responsibility for translating insights into actionable business plans to grow developing markets and industries
Developing new business opportunities across emerging markets within your area to accelerate revenue generation and regional growth
Creating and executing business development strategies and plans, employing diverse prospecting channels including email outreach, calls, onsite visits, conferences, and demonstrations to expand the customer base
Qualifying and prioritizing leads based on needs and fit, while articulating the value proposition of Sartorius Bio Elpida’s services
Collaborating with cross‑functional teams to ensure strategic alignment, supporting negotiations and deal closure to achieve revenue and market share objectives
Building and maintaining strong relationships with customers, prospects, partners, and key stakeholders across the covered region
Identifying and establishing collaboration with local key opinion leaders in emerging markets to support product advocacy and market adoption
Analyzing sales and performance metrics (lead interest, opportunities, contacts) to continuously refine and improve business development practices
Ensuring rigorous use of SFDC to document and maintain accurate information on leads, contacts, opportunities, and all customer interactions
Monitoring relevant industry regulations and compliance requirements across all countries within the assigned territory
What will convince us
Academic degree in life sciences, engineering, business administration, or marketing (advanced degree beneficial)
At least 5 years of experience in sales or field marketing, ideally within Life Science laboratory or process‑based environments (GMP)
Strong understanding of the markets within France; other areas such as Spain, Belgium and/or Switzerland would be apreciated, supported by an established professional network
Deep knowledge of business development and sales growth techniques, with a strong interest in emerging markets and technologies
Proven ability to independently manage and lead commercial projects and initiatives
Excellent communication, influencing, and negotiation capabilities
Strong analytical mindset and problem‑solving abilities
Ability to operate effectively in multicultural and international environments
Relationship‑building strength combined with an entrepreneurial and proactive mindset
High degree of autonomy, motivation, and drive
Fluency in English and French required
Additional European language skills are an asset
Willingness to travel as needed across the assigned region
