We’re seeking a Business Coordinator I to support business operations within a fast-paced service center environment. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys organization, problem-solving, and keeping things running smoothly—especially in areas like procurement, billing, and inventory management. This position is in a service center operating under AgriLife Information Technology and is heavily weighted toward procurement, billing, and inventory control. This position will not handle travel, HR, or payroll functions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Places orders with vendors, manages inventory in inventory control system, processes invoices in Aggiebuy, reconciles payment card transactions.

  • Creates invoices in iPayments system to invoice clients for IT orders.

  • Creates and reviews monthly business reports. Reviews and audits reconciliations of service center accounts.

  • Coordinates annual fiscal year closing activities and drafts new fiscal year plans.

  • Assists in planning, developing, implementing, coordinating, and monitoring business programs or services.

  • May serve as a liaison with business office staff.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Two years of related experience.

Required Special Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications.

  • Interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Planning and organizational skills.

  • Working knowledge of purchasing and accounting systems.

  • Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.

Preferred Special Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Working knowledge of Aggiebuy, FAMIS, and Canopy.

  • Previous experience in IT sales or support.

  • Experience with Inflow Inventory or similar inventory management system.

  • Experience managing products in WooCommerce or similar ecommerce platform.

Salary: Pay Grade 8: Compensation for this position is commensurate based on the selected candidate’s qualifications.

Flexible Work Arrangements: Flexible work schedules and remote work options may be available for this position, depending on the nature of the role and employee eligibility, in accordance with AgriLife Alternate Work Location Procedures.
