Business Controller (Junior/Mid)

In your role you will work with operational and financial stakeholders to optimize and control the cost and revenue elements of the business. As a business controller, you will be expected to quickly get to know the business and work across the floor and support stakeholders’ decision-making processes.

Your responsibilities

  • Responsible for revenue and cost control for at least 2 operational rigs

  • Budgeting process- cooperation with Rig Managers

  • Cooperation with Rig Managers during CAPEX outlook file preparation

  • Complex analysis of all revenue streams. Checking compliance with the sales contract, mark-up validation, invoicing supervision, accruals preparation, deviation analysis & comments

  • Comprehensive OPEX and CAPEX cost control. Actuals vs budget difference analysis, preparation of extensive explanations, accruals posting, reporting

  • Preparing and conducting regular meetings with business stakeholders, presenting current and YTD financial situation, including a discussion on future periods

  • Projects control: project creation, maintenance, detailed cost monitoring, invoicing & summary memo preparation

  • ERP/HFM/Cost control tools interface reconciliation

  • Daily cooperation with Finance Team (GL, AP, AR, LA), Regional Finance Managers, Supply Chain, Logistics & HR teams

  • Supporting new joiners

  • Processes & tools improvements

  • Adapting new assets to Noble processes after ERP migrations, mergers and acquisition

Our Requirements

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree in Finance or a related field

  • 3+ years of experience in finance, with a focus on business or cost controlling

  • Full professional proficiency in written and spoken English required

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel

  • Advanced accounting knowledge, particularly in revenue and cost accounting

  • Knowledge of project cost controlling within an ERP system

  • In-depth understanding of finance processes and policies, with the ability to apply them in daily work

  • Experience with OneStream, HFM or similar systems preferred

  • Experience working in international environments

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

  • Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills

  • Proactive approach to improving individual and team performance

  • Willingness to travel and an international mindset
